As soon as you wake up, you see 3 Grunts inside the Pokemon Centre and they challenge you to a battle. The first one sent out a  Lv8

CH by Krabby! Glameow would have scored a CH, but Krabby's ability prevented it. Unluckily for Krabby, Scratch has a STAB bonus for Glameow. Lv8 16/33Lv7  12/28

Um...well, Krabby used another move coming off of its pathetic special attack stat, but Glameow quickly ended the crab's streak of terror. [8] 8/33
