Event #3
Location:Houston
Type:Fundraising Rally
Targets:Republicans, Conservative Democrats, Independents, Hart Supporters, Fiscal Conservatives, Social Conservatives, NASA workers and families, Rick Perry Supporters, Small Business Owners

Thank you, Houston!

I thank y'all for the warm welcome back to our great state! So glad to be here in Houston and as always this city has been good to me on so many occasions. Ladies and gentlemen, I return here to meet with Texans like you and I on what's happening in Washington. I've always been adamant about sitting down with folks like you and discuss the issues that face this state and this country here today. And a lot has been going on since the transition of the new Presidency. Though we may have disagreed much of the time, I've had a healthy respect for President Obama, and I instill my full faith in President Hart as she takes on a huge responsibility in becoming the leader of a nation that was built on our American values. And regardless of where we stand on the issues, I am proud of her for taking on the responsibilities and her willingness to work across party lines! We need to unify Washington instead of staying divided! As the old saying goes, united we stand, divided we fall!

Just recently on ANN, abortions have risen to a new ten year high. This is without a doubt, unacceptable. Ladies and gentlemen, as a pro-life American, I believe that life begins at conception, not at birth! If the fetus has a heart beat, it is a living being! If it is moving in the mother's womb, it is living! We cannot interrupt life in the making! I do not condemn any medical procedure that is meant to save the mother, but indirectly terminates a pregnancy. I oppose abortion accept in cases of rape and incest! And I vehemently oppose late term and partial birth abortions! They are the most barbaric and most inhumane kind of abortion! Why would 48% of the American people say that a ban on late term abortion be a bad idea? My friends, I understand what is in the best interests in the American people, and most of the time we should push through the policies that best suit the interests of the people. However, I believe it's common sense knowledge that disallowing a child to live outside of the womb is wrong! If we are entitled to live the American dream, why can we allow them to do the same? For as long as I am in the Senate, I and my colleagues will come together to push through a ban on late term abortions!

Fellow Texans, these are without a doubt hard times across our nation! Many jobs are lost every day and unemployment is rising! It's time to put our heads together and put together policies that will help put our economy back on the right track. We should grant tax breaks to our small and mid-sized businesses so they can be able to create and expand job opportunities and keep their businesses afloat. We need to provide tax breaks across the board, especially for our lower and middle class Americans so they can be able to stimulate our economy. I am optimistic that this can be done. A lot can't be done overnight, but I know it will take time for this economy to heal! We need to push through legislation that will regulate sub prime lending industries and ensure that Americans will be given affordable housing, and rebuild new homes! This will create more jobs in the construction industry, which has suffered losses as of now. Folks, with your cooperation, I know we can and yes we will get it done!

The budget is up for discussion in the Senate, and recently there was an amendment proposing a series of cuts. Among some of the cuts was from the Defense Department and NASA. Ladies and gentlemen, I oppose such cuts to these programs as those cuts would hurt Texas rather than help it! Texas has been home to our space program for many years. Our space program employs those who explore beyond our borders. Beyond our horizons and then some. Texas has a strong military presence, and we have always been honored to house a large number of our defenders of freedom and their families! These cuts are unsustainable. These programs should stay as it is. Period.

Houston, before I conclude today, I want y'all to know that I am proud and honored to serve the State of Texas as your Senator. I continue to become a strong voice of reason for Texans from Houston to El Paso, from Wichita Falls to Brownsville and all points in between! I thank y'all for the support so far and lets keep it strong from here on out! Thank you so much! God Bless y'all and God Bless Texas!

Fundraiser 1 - Website. I liked it. Good job. Had all the important information there for all to see. $300,000.

Fundraiser 3 - To be honest, this is the best fundraising event I have read since taking over the fundraisers earlier today. Others should use it as a model. You talked about what you've done, what you will do, about your record, and you managed to be very personable with those attending the event. Great job. $235,000.

Fundraiser #4
Location:Dallas
Targets:Republicans, Conservative Democrats, Independents, Hart Supporters, Fiscal Conservatives, Social Conservatives, Law enforcement personnel, Veterans, Active Duty, Voters Concerned With National Security,Voters against Illegal Immigration, NRA Members, 2nd Amendment Supporters, Obamacare Opponents

Thank y'all so much!

My friends of Dallas, I thank you so much for the warm welcome here today. Ladies and gentlemen, first off all I just want to say that nothing makes me more proud to be a Texan than serving the great people that I love so much. Having served as a public defender, a prosecutor and your Attorney General, I am proud to have been an advocate for the people of this great state for years. And I continue to do so to this day as your Senator.

My fellow Texans, one of our important issues in this state and other border states is of course the ongoing problem known as illegal immigration. Dallas, this has been a heated issue between Democrats and Republicans for quite some time. Now, before I go any further, let's reiterate that there is a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. Those who immigrate here to follow their American dream do so legally. I know it's a tough process, but be that as it may. I welcome those from all over who intend to pursue their dream here in the United States. But coming here illegally makes it unfair for those who want to come here just going through the legal channels. Ladies and gentlemen, finding holes in our southern border where illegals are crossing could also pose dangers. Among them could be members of a drug cartel smuggling drugs into the United States. National security is a top priority of ours and it always has been, even before 9/11. We need to implement the policies necessary to tighten border security. We need not to grant amnesty to those who have enter our country illegally!

As a member of the NRA, I am adamant for standing up for our 2nd Amendment rights. Our forefathers got it right when they said that Americans had the right to bear arms. It was designed to allow the Americans to defend themselves from tyranny. Now, it's defending ourselves from the dangers that threaten our very livelihood, our lives, our families, our property! It is about standing your ground when you are in danger. The Castle Doctrine allows us to defend ourselves from those who pose as a danger. I stand in support of this and I encourage states across the nation to adopt policies based on the Castle Doctrine. And when opponents say guns kill people, no they don't! People who irresponsibly use a firearm are the ones that kill others. Sling all the stats you want, and most of the time they will connect to the irresponsible use of a firearm. Simple as that. As your Senator, I pledge not to support any legislation that intends to water down or simply do away with this civil liberty. Even though I may be a part of the government, but I say to them, hands off our guns!

Ladies and gentlemen, there are millions that are without health care today, and yet Congress and the Obama administration decided it would be best if government health care would be implemented. I understand the sense of urgency of covering a lot of Americans, but how can we go about affording it? How can we go about covering Americans without forcing them to enroll or face the consequences. Government control is not what the forefathers had in mind. We need to repeal the health care law given that it is unconstitutional! During then, we must implement a contingency health care policy that won't endanger the American people once the law is repealed. We can cover the people of America without raising taxes or a full blown take over.

Dallas, I say this in closing by quoting a great man who I'd had the chance to meet in the mid-1980's as a student at the University of Texas. Ronald Reagan said when government expands, liberty contracts. I as an American am proud to live in a nation where we are free. I am proud to live in a nation where we the people control our government. If you print out the United States Constitution, you will see that in 6 pages, the word "people" appears in their 11 times. Not once does it mention politics or any mention of political parties. It's because we the people must work together to install common sense policies for the people of America! Let's come together not just as Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, but as Texans, as Americans! Thank y'all so much! God Bless everyone and God Bless Texas! Drive safe, y'all!

#4 - $210,000.

You targeted several groups just as you did in event 3. In the future, you may want to shorten that target list. Just a suggestion. I liked your event and your remarks at this event. You gave them exactly what they wanted to hear in Dallas.

Fundraiser #5
Location:Sioux City, Iowa
Targets:Republicans, Conservative Democrats, Independents, Fiscal Conservatives, Social Conservatives, Branstad Supporters, Steve King Supporters, Farmers, Small Business Owners

Thank you, Sioux City!

You know, I feel like I never left the state of Texas after hearing such an enthusiastic applause from y'all. I can't help but thank everyone for the warm welcome here in Iowa. It's great to be here today. First off, I want to acknowledge first of all a man who I know has served the people of Iowa well. Despite our ideological differences, I consider him a good colleague and a hard worker for the people of this state, Mr. Steve Fisher. Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you here today not only as a Senator from Texas, representing the state. But I feel that I am among many who represents the people of this great nation. Today, I am here to tour our great state and listen to what the people of Iowa have to say about the concerns they have on the issues. In the words of a good song from back when, "lend me an old year, and I'll sing you a song." Of course, I'm not the best singer in the world. *Chuckles*

My friends, one of our greatest concerns is the economy. These are indeed hard times here in America. Our businesses are going under, and many are losing their jobs. I can't bear the anguish that so many Americans have gone through over the course of this economic downturn. Yet, we as Americans are optimistic. We are optimistic that America's best days are ahead. And if we put our heads together, we can be able to help create more jobs. Give tax breaks to small and mid-sized businesses so they can create those jobs and keep their businesses alive. Most farms here in Iowa are considered a business. They sell their goods to the public and hire those who are willing to give a hand. And I believe farm subsidies are important for our farmers. It is farmers who are one of the many Americans who build their prosperity from the ground up. Every American, according to our American values, are deserving of living the American dream in prosperity. How else can I describe it? Our lower and middle class Americans too our deserving of living in prosperity. Let's lessen their tax burden and put more money in their pockets. Job creation and lower taxes go hand in hand. The more who are working, the more tax revenue we receive. To quote a great movie that took place here in Iowa, "If you build it, they will come." In this case, if you will lower taxes, we will grow.

Sioux City, you and I both know that government intervention is not the way to go here in America. Government expansion was not something our founding father's had in mind. For many years, government over regulation has hurt our businesses rather than helped them. Government takeover of health care intends to punish those who go uncovered. What ever happened to we the people being the master of our government, and the government serving us? Yes, it is possible we can still have a strong government, but with a minimal role. Freedom did not exist for nothing. Freedom existed from tyranny. Freedom is preserved and protected by those who have defended this nation from all enemies, both foreign and domestic! Liberty is what we believe in, and we would never let it dissipate for a second!

National security has and still remains a top priority for this nation. I believe that we as a nation must stand strong against terrorism. I view those who commit terrorist acts as those who live in cowardice! Terrorism will never be condoned by this nation! Terrorism shall not be appreciated by this nation and our allies! It can and will take a multinational effort to destroy terrorism at its source! We as a nation must solidify our relations with our allies and come together to continue defeating terrorism at the source! I am throughly optimistic that we will be victorious against terrorism. And we will continue to fight it for as long as it may take!

My friends, I stand before you today confident that I have some ideas that are likely solutions to turning this nation around. I am positive that with your support and help, we can make it all possible. I plan to continue touring this great state with the concerns and idea of the people in mind. I am ready and willing to listen to Iowans like you, and not to mention they like us, are Americans. Once again, thank y'all so much and God Bless Iowa and God Bless America!

Fundraiser #6
Location:Des Moines, Iowa
Targets:Republicans, Conservative Democrats, Independents, Fiscal Conservatives, Social Conservatives, Branstad Supporters

Thank you!

Great to be here in Des Moines! Ladies and gentlemen of Iowa, thank you once again for welcoming me this evening. I appreciate the hospitality you have shown me, and if you were in Texas you would be treated the same. In fact, I felt like I'm still right at home. Y'all have been very grateful and I can't help but thank y'all enough. My friends, I stand before you here today not as a Senator from the State of Texas, one who not only represents his state as a voice of reason, but rather one of the voices of reason for the entire nation. Not only that, I also stand before you here today like many of you, concerned citizens of America. My friends, our nation has traveled on a long bumpy road and continue to do so to this day. But you and I can make sure that we can continue on with the journey towards a stronger and more brighter America. I am optimistic of what can be brought to the table and be considered the best solution that best suits the people of our country.

My friends of Iowa, I want to first discuss an issue regarding our foreign policy. Recently, we have been in contact with the government of Egypt. Egypt says that we do not understand that they fight terrorism right at their doorstep. Well, we have the ability to do that to. We deal with terrorism not only abroad, but here at home. It has happened before and we are doing our best to ensure that it doesn't happen again in the future! Our national security is a top priority of ours, and that I stress to the highest extent! It's time to work together with our allies in every corner of the globe! We need to set aside our differences and together defeat terrorism at the source! Terrorism is frowned upon and never condoned by much of the world. And we must rebuke those who support and sponsor terrorism! Make no mistake, it will take a multinational effort to defeat terrorism! It's time to call upon our allied nations and take up arms and defeat those who terrorize our people at their doorstep! It's time to stand up to terrorism and let them know that this nation, and our allies are not afraid, nor intimidated!

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe in what we can get done here at home. I know that we can rebuild our economy with the right policies in place. We need to push through policies that will ensure that every small business owner will have the chance to keep a business and continue to live the American dream in prosperity! We need to push through policies that will regulate the financial industry, such as sub prime mortgage companies! We need to ensure that the people will not go through personal financial hard times because banks are spendthrift in giving loans to those who won't be able to pay them on time. It's time to repeal Gramm-Leach-Bililey and re-instate the provisions of Glass-Steagall that were repealed as a part of Gramm-Leach-Bililey! Since the enactment of Glass-Steagall, our economy has not suffered so much as it has during the depression and now! Now is the time to come together as Americans, not as representatives of political parties! It's time for America to prosper again!

My friends, I encourage all of you to show your support and if possible contribute what you can to the cause of what I believe are the policies that best suit the interests of the country. These are common sense policies and I know that these can and will work without fail! Des Moines, join me and all of Iowa, all of New Hampshire and the rest of the nation as we journey towards a better nation for her people..now and in the next generation! Thank y'all so much and God Bless Iowa!
