Fundraiser #: 1 Type: Rally Target: Veterans, Active Military Personal Place: Tobyhana Army Depot Topic: Veteran Benefits Soldiers, Veterans I'm and proud and glad to be here today. While I did not have the pleasure of serving our nation's armed forces, my father and brother did and I was honored to be related to soldiers and veterans. However our nation does nothing to recognize your efforts. We send countless scores of our men and women that fight and die or get wounded on a front that is on the other side of the globe and when they come home, there is nothing for them. No benefits, no help, no one to care for them. As a member of a family with a long history of military, I promise you I will fight for more veteran benefits. It's high time that the people of the nation realize that the people that made sure they can drive their fancy sport cars and go golfing on the expense greens have no benefits to help them when they come home Edited by Alex Beckett, Jan 31 2011, 01:42 AM.

If you are more specific next time, your amount will undoubtedly be better. The topic was a good one, though. I like meat in what you say and how much you say so that's food for thought for future fundraisers. $120,000. RW |

Fundraiser #2 Type: Rally Target: NASA personal, astronauts Place: Houston Topic: NASA Program People of Houston, It's an honor to see you all today in this lovely city of Houston. My, I think I need to come down here more often, I forgot how lovely the city and the people are pauses As some of you are aware who have been following the news, the Democratic Party and other Senators are proposing heavy cuts to the NASA program, some saying it's a "useless" department when compared to say Defense or Transportation. However, I disagree with them. I remember growing up, how I saw NASA as the key to this nation, nay this world's future. Not only did NASA take our great nation into the Space Age and put America into the history books forever, they also gave us many household items that we don't even stop to think about, such as a microwave, heat resistant gloves to get things out of ovens or microwaves, and aluminum foil. Imagine if those weren't around and heavy cuts were put on NASA. No more simple, yet basic household items I also realize that many of you fine folks here work at NASA and from it put food on the table for your families. I will not support cuts that will force NASA to lay off workers to keep the power on. I will not support cuts that will add to the already ridiculously high unemployment rate. I promise you, people of Houston, I will not support any heavy or drastic cuts to the NASA program! -Thank You |

Fundraiser #: 3 Type: Rally Target: Small Business Owners, Moderates, Repulicans Place: Scranton, PA Topic: Small Business Benefits, Improving the Economy People of Scranton, Boy am I glad to be back in our fair city that we all call home. It's changed a bit in the past few years, change I didn't like to see Our state is losing population and thus losing revenue, which I find saddening and I hope you all do to. When I grew up around here, small business flourished and supported the state. Now since big time companies have political weight, they are dying. I promise you I will work to bring back some fairness so small business can return to flourishing, like lowering taxes for you, giving hiring incentives to encourage you to hire more workers and expand your business. I'll also work with the gas companies here on drilling for natural gas in Pennsylvania. A survey done two years ago showed that our wonderful state has enough natural gas to power New York and our selves for five decades and yet we have so many obstables in place, companies won't drill. While I won't allow for our forests to be destroyed, if we can allow for companies to drill in certain areas and contain the damage, economy could return to Pennsylvania and if this is put on a nationwide scale, we could start relaying on America, ourselves, not some nation on the other side of the world God Bless You All |
