Fundraiser #:1 Type: Rally Target: LGBT Community Place: San Francisco California Topic: Marriage, civil liberties Thank you San Francisco! It is great to be here today! I am glad to see so many people who want a Senator who stands up for civil liberties! When the Republicans put a bill into the hopper that would ban not only ban gay marriage but would completely not allow domestic partnerships, I was the first to step forward against this bill! I have always been for Civil Liberties and I always will be! Who has the right to say who you are allowed to marry and for that matter love! That is what the Marriage is Sacred Amendment does, it infringes on not only your personal freedoms but the freedom of our state to protect your right to be married! I met my wife when I was in studying law in UCLA, and I fell madly in love with her. I hadn't even known her more than four months when I asked her to marry me. When you fall in love, you want to spend the rest of your life with that person and that is why I will fight against any bill that says you can't marry someone you love! I will do everything in my power to make sure that it never gets passed and if it somehow gets passed because of those who wish to limit freedoms, I will be on the forefront of the fight to get it repealed so that every Californian can marry whoever they love regardless of gender! The fight to protect your civil liberties will be a long hard fight and I will need everyone’s support if I am to fight for equal rights for everyone! I ask you all to donate to my campaign. No matter the amount you donate you will be helping me fight to protect everyone's civil liberties! Behind you are a few booths; you can make your donations there by filling out a quick and easy form. I thank you all for coming and have a great day! Edited by Neil Clinton, Jan 30 2011, 05:54 PM.

I am still reviewing your website. Just for future reference, please place your state and such in your signature. I didn't know which state you represent until I clicked on some links. Thanks! I liked your first fundraiser. It's obvious you played to your base and you talked about something personal that connected you well with those who attended. Not bad at all. $165,000. RW |

Fundraiser #:3 Type: Rally Target: Pro-Choice supporters, Women, Democrats Place: San Jose, California Thank you San Jose, it is great to be here today! It is good to see so many people who stand up against the government intruding in their personal lives! Roe vs. Wade was a historic case that stopped the government from telling you what you can and can't do with your own body! Even after all of these years Roe vs. Wade is still highly criticized by those who wish to take away an individual’s basic right to have control over their own body! Republicans always talk about protecting your rights, yet they do not step up to bat and defend you right to have control over your own body! That is why I have continually fought to protect your right to have an abortion if you so choose! Someone has to stand up for what is right and I have done so and will continually do so! An ANN poll showed that 41% of Americans want to abolish late term abortions without defining what they called late term and many of these people are Republicans who do not understand why a woman may wish to have an abortion! I will go to the first part of my statement, the ANN poll never defined what late term was. Is there definition 16 weeks, 24 weeks, or 30 weeks? I will say this I personally don't agree with abortions after the third trimester but it is still not my place to say that you can't have one if you want to! In a 1987 a study that included specific data about abortions at or after 16 weeks, which they dubbed late term, showed that 71% of women said they did not know they were pregnant, 48% found it hard to make arrangements for an abortion, and 24% said that they wanted to think the decision over thoroughly before acting. If the republicans want to cut down on late term abortions there are ways that we can do it together without infringing on your fundamental rights! The easiest way to cut down on late term abortions is to make it easier for women to get an abortion, we do that and more abortions will occur sooner in the pregnancy thus cutting the amount of late term abortions! I will need all of your continued support if I am to fight to keep the government from trying to take control of your own body away from you! I ask that you all please donate to my campaign. No matter the amount you donate, you would be helping me in my fight to protect the basic rights that everyone has! You can go the booths to my right and donate there or you can go to my website http://senatorneilclinton.weebly.com. I thank you all for coming and have a good day! |

Fundraiser #:4 Type: Rally Target: People against the Death Penalty. Place: Oakland, California ![]() Thank you Oakland! It is great to see so many people who are against the death penalty! Over 138 men on death row have been exonerated since 1973! That is quite a large number of men who had at one time that not only had been called guilty, but that the jury believed there was enough evidence to warrant the death penalty! If that many men have been on death row, I must wonder how many innocent men have been unjustly put to death for crimes that they did not commit. In the entire history of the United States over 1,000 men have been condemned to death; if but one of these men were innocent then a travesty was committed! The death of a guilty man is horrible but of a innocent law abiding citizen is even worse because there is no way that their death can be even falsely be justified by those who are pro death penalty! In the most basic form, government is supposed to protect those that it governs, and that is why I have always been against the death penalty! At least one innocent man has mostly likely been put to death in America's history and we must prevent it from ever happening again! For all those who support the death penalty and say that I am weak on crime I say look at my record, look at the bill that I put on the floor in the senate and you will see that I'm not weak on crime! Like everyone here today, I am tough on crime and believe that punishments should be strict for those who deserve them but the death penalty is punishing murder with murder which is wrong and also put those who are innocent in harm’s way! If you want the death penalty abolished then I am the Senator that you should support! I will fight hard to get rid of a law that punishes and puts innocent people in harm’s way! I ask that you all please donate to my campaign so that I can start to work on the goal that you want me to. You can go to the booths out front or you can go to my website http://senatorneilclinton.weebly.com and donate there. I thank you all for coming and have a great day! |

Fundraiser #:5 Type: Rally Target: Teachers Place: Los Angeles, California Topic: Education ![]() Thank you! It is great to be here today among all of you! As many of you know and others of you may not know, I am the President Pro Tempore of the senate. I never would have been able to achieve such a position is it was not for a good education! A great education is what guides students through the gateway of success and teachers are the ones that can give students the education that leads them to that gateway! Everyone that has seen great success in their life would not have, if they had not been given some kind of education! I want to see everyone not only in our state but in our whole country succeed and to see that it happens, we need to make sure every child is given the best education possible! I intend to do just that! If we want our country to move forwards it is imperative that our nation's youth are given a good education! If a nation full of highly educated children is to happen it needs to start with the teachers! To be frank we need more of them and I will tell you all why! It is a known fact that children learn better when they are in classrooms with a low student to teacher ratios and for this to happen we will need to hire more teachers, which is why I approve of putting more money into education! I thank the future of our children is worth it! We lose a great number of teachers every year because they are underappreciated and under paid! I don't know how many years that I have worked in politics and have heard of cutting the education budget, whether at a local, state or federal level! Every time I hear of cutting the education budget I fight it! Education is just far too important to the future well being of our country! I want to create teacher retention programs that make a teacher friendly environment that encourages teachers to stay in the Golden State! If you want a senator who truly appreciates the job that teachers do, then I will need each and every one of yours support! I ask that you all please make a contribution to my campaign. No matter the amount that you donate you will be helping me in my fight to improve our educational system! You can go to the booths behind or you can go to my website http://senatorneilclinton.weebly.com and make your contribution there if you so choose. Thank you all for coming today and have a great day! |

#3 - $230,000. #4 - $190,000. #5 - $200,000. I liked that you talked about a specific issue at each event and you offered statistics and other data to support your stand on the issue you were talking about - though I wish you had explained the legislation that you said you've offered that shows you are not soft on crime. When you talk about your service as PPT, make sure you let your audience know what you're doing in that position. Your fans will love that. Good job overall. RW |
