Helothannin silently dismounted and absently patted Telon's side, staring off in the direction Zadora had left but not really seeing the paladin as she departed.

Mentally he was picturing the humans they sought, and inwardly he let out a sigh because, of course, the images in his mind were monochrome - black, white, and everything in between.

Reddish-brown, black, blonde...it didn't really matter much to him. Most times his colorblindness didn't bother him, but there were instances like these where he might as well been crippled and the old wistfulness came back - he wondered what he'd do with himself if, by some miracle, someday in the future he suddenly saw color.

He was, of course, accustomed to guessing - and guessing correctly - the hue of things, so it wasn't all that bad, really...but some days...

Reyvan ran her boney fingers through Arcaedions wirey mane as they waited. Sometimes she really hated waiting, just sitting around and doing nothing. It gave her time to think about things that were better off forgotten. Like how she felt when she first laid eyes on the Southshore ruins. Those feeling were coming back to her now, the guilt and anger swirling in her stomach. Yet again she found herself wondering how Sylvanas could have been so cruel. Though the guards did sometimes cause problems for Tarren Mill, in truth Southshore was not a military outpost. It was a town, full of children and civilians. How could she have authorized the murder of civilians?

Upon entering the old inn, the first thing that struck Dora was how /few/ people were there, and she felt her heart drop low in her stomach as she looked around what she assumed was the communal room - what were the chances of Helo and Rey's humans being among the four sitting here?

"... Helothannin is looking for his friends, if you are here..." she announced quietly.

One of the men sitting there looked at her in surprise, eyes wide. "...who, did you say?"

Helothannin allowed himself to drop down to sit on his heels, resting his arms across his knees. He wanted to go closer to the crater, to be honest, but knew that was a surefire way to get himself attacked. Waiting wasn't something he was enjoying, however.

A young woman with wavy brown hair looks up at Zadora's words. "Helothannin?"

Reyvan blew out a sigh as she stood, an arm draped over Arcaedions' boney back. She glanced over at Helo. "I wonder where they mean to go from here," she murmured, more to herself than to him, "As far as I know, the nearest human settlement is in the Arathi Highlands. It'll be a dangerous journey for them to go there, but where else can they go?"

"I don't know," he replied. "Perhaps they ran to the only place they could at the time, to regroup."

Reyvan nodded. "Yes, that's what I figured too. But the question remains: where do they go from here?" Her nimble fingers worked out a knot in Arcaedions' mane.
