Reyvan remained still and silent, watching the conversation, hoping Helo could calm the woman before they were discovered. |

"I've seen what the Forsaken do to their captives as well, and I have no fear of such a thing," while part of her knew she was being irrational, what she said was also true. In her heart, even if it was darkened now and she could no longer feel it, Zadora was a true Soldier of the Light and she would die in whatever manner came to her, if it would protect, defend, or avenge someone. The sneer that crinkled her lips was ugly and out of place, and had she seen herself in a mirror she would have been ashamed of the look in her eyes, "You're no better than them, Horde scum." Later, when those words repeated themselves in her ears, she would regret them - she knew better than to judge all by the actions of a few, but this... this is the razor's edge for her. |

Helo stared evenly back at her. "...only a short time ago, I liberated three humans from Undercity, and in the dark of night ushered them here." He once again looked at the town, and felt his gut clench in guilt. "If I had known..." 'If I had known this was going to happen, I would have been here to stand shoulder to shoulder with the humans' were the words he left unspoken. 'If I had known, perhaps I would have led those three further away, even though the risk of being captured again would have been greater. If I had known, maybe I could have done something.' Swallowing down the guilt and anger took several heartbeats, and his face was grim when he turned back to her and, after a second, let his gaze drop to the ground. "If trying to save a life makes me no better than a Forsaken then I'll accept that with a smile, but what you're doing here is suicide at best." |

"Not all of my people believe in killing the innocent," Reyvan interjected quietly, "I know I do not. Please, my lady, do not condemn all of my people for what our leaders have done. And don't condemn yourself to death for the sake of revenge. Revenge will not undo what has happened." |

"Brought them here for what," were the words she spit out, grip on her sword tightening to the point where her instructors would have smacked her for such a poor grip, "a laugh at there expense before you watched them die? A little dash of false hope to add to your morning tea?" She chose to ignore his comment about suicide, though she knew it was true. The longer she sat here, engaged in this ridiculous conversation, the calmer and more rational her mind became, though it was not at all near her usual reserved, calculating state. Her horse snorted at the sound of the Forsaken's voice, and she had to physically stop herself from doing the same, "Lies, undead. All lies." |

Helo's eyes narrowed. "Had I known I was delivering them from one fate and into...into THIS-" he threw his hand out in a wild gesture, pointing at the slime pits, "- I would have remained here to help defend them. I never intended to...I did not want this. I-" He inhaled deeply, then glanced over to where Reyvan stood. He hadn't noticed her walk up to them, and now he guessed that she was the Forsaken he had seen earlier looking up at him. "Reyvan...do you think there is any chance they survived? That they ran?" he asked in a very quiet voice. |

"It's possible," Reyvan said, though there was little hope in her voice. "If they were not from Southshore originally, they likely would have left to go find their families, wherever they are." |

Her eyes narrowed still, Zadora watched the two interact - they seemed sincere, but then sincerity could be faked. The destruction of this town is on all members of the Horde, whether they caused it or not: they are part of the organization that let this happen, "And what cause do I have to believe one foul word out of your mouths?" |

Helo nodded numbly - for their sake, he prayed to anything divine that might have been listening that the three had NOT been Southshore residents. "They do say the truth is rarely believed," he said quietly. "But I swear to you I tell the truth. And I can only hope those three humans weren't from this area..." He paused, and then winced as a terrible thought came to him. "Oh gods...I really hope they weren't in..." In any of the areas that were more or less wiped off the map, he wanted to say, but couldn't bring himself to say them. |

Reyvan grimaced. "There's nothing we can do for them now," she told Helo quietly before turning back to the human woman. "I don't care if you believe us, as long as you leave this place before you get killed. Enough blood has been spilled here, don't you think?" |
