"Enough innocent blood has been spilled here," she countered as her sword moved to point at the closest foe, "Their blood could run rivers through this place, and there will still be not enough."

"What sense is there in adding your blood to it?" Helo asked quietly. "There is nothing to be gained here, only to be lost...if I have to restrain you to prevent you from throwing your life away, I will not hesitate."

The sneer on her lips grew more pronounced for a moment before she spoke, "As if you could, were you to try." While there were two of them, she was build to withstand multiple attackers, "This is none of your concern." Nudging her horse in the side, he moved forward a few steps, bringing her closer to the two standing in her way, "If you are honest, and have stopped me out of some misguided sense of heroism, you can desist - I will take care of myself."

"Isn't vengeance a little of out line with a paladin?" Helo asked after a moment.

... The shock in her eyes was only visible for a moment, but his words rang true - her duty was to protect, and to protect she must stay alive. How was this Elf making such a valid point? The members of the Horde know nothing of honor, nothing of duty...

But even as that thought tried to continue on in her mind she stopped it with a quick shake of her head, the tip of her sword lowering ever so slightly, "What would you know of my duties?" Her voice had lost its bite though, mellowing back into the somber, even tone she normally conveyed her messages in.

She was still upset, but that simple sentence... it was too true to ignore.

Helo smiled, though it was a sad one. "My...father was a priest. He embraced the Light, and I have since familiarized myself with the code of conduct of a paladin thanks to my time spent in the North...I cannot see a paladin and a priest being so different in their teachings and pursuits."

Reyvan allowed some of the tension to leave her body. It seemed the woman had begun to see reason.

They weren't all that different, really - one wielded a sword while the other held a staff, but they were cut from the same cloth, "Why are you here then, if not to revel in the mindless murder that happened here?"
