"To mourn the dead."

Reyvan grimaced again. "I didn't want to believe this had happened until I'd seen it with my own eyes. I knew Sylvanas could be cruel, but I still didn't want to believe her capable of this."

Her nostrils flared slightly at the mention of Windrunner, "... the Banshee Queen." The distaste on her tongue was obvious, but she slowly moved to back her horse away from the ruined town, back to the other side of the rise, out of sight from the guards roaming the plagued walkways.

Her eyes never left the two figures that had stopped her suicide run, but as her mind continued to clear she slowly realized that she owed them a debit of honor - Horde or not, the actions of a few cannot speak for the whole. Slowly, she moved to hang her shield over her back again, though she was certainly not yet trusting enough to sheathe her sword, "... I am sorry for the way I spoke to you earlier."

"You need not apologize, but I accept your apology," Helo replied quietly.

He very carefully bent to pick up his bow and polearm, then whistled loudly; Telon approached from where he'd been anxiously pacing back and forth, and Helo hung the weapons from the saddle and shooed the hawkstrider back several paces.

"From where did you come?"

"Wherever it is, I suggest you head back there. You don't need me to tell you that this place isnt safe for your kind."

"I do not have a home, and I will not run away in the face of danger. I am travelling these lands in search of people, towns who need help, and I will continue to do so." Still guarded, she swung herself off her horse, both feet landing on the ground with a solid thump, "I am not a weak, defenseless child, or a mother without a lick of training - I have a duty to the Light, and I will fulfill it."

Helo smiled and shook his head. "I was not asking about where you hailed from, I meant, WHERE did you come from? Which direction did you approach from?"

"Perhaps we should get off the road," Reyvan interupted quietly, dismounting her horse, "Before someone comes along and finds us."

There was wisdom in the undead's words, and even though her gaze was still untrusting, Zadora obeyed them, gently guiding her horse off the road, "Shh, Zaa, good boy..." Her hand kept him calm as she stoked his mane, watching the others hide from sight as well, "Why does it matter, where I came from?"

"No reason beyond curiosity, really. I have traveled south from Eversong, and intend to continue south as far as I'm able to. It will not be easy, but I am determined."

Helo walked on foot off the road, keeping his distance from the woman still as she still didn't seem comfortable or trusting of them yet, and he didn't want to alarm her. Telon strutted off to go forage in the grass nearby, finally done with pacing and looking irritated.
