Once they were hidden from the road by trees, Reyvan sat down on a nearby log, stroking her horse's boney neck.

The pause before she spoke again was heavy, as the paladin weighed her words, "... I come from Stormwind." Keeping Zaa at her side, she kept the warhorse content with a sugar cube pulled from a small pouch, "I will go wherever I am of most use."

"Judging on what I have heard has happened in the world, that could be anywhere," Helo said grimly. "Very few lands were left untouched."

He momentarily let his attention drift to the warhorse, admiring the beast - he'd seen horses, and had ridden them a handful of times. If given a chance he would even purchase one.

Interesting creatures, and very graceful, horses.

He thought of the maps in his bags - he had been to Elwynn once before during his wanderings, several years ago. "I have never been too deep into human-held lands. I tend to stay on the borders where law and order seem to be the thinnest, and most small areas are policed by those who live there. Those are the people preyed on by bandits, and it's never too hard to scare a few troublemakers away while I'm passing through."

Reyvan remained silent, letting the two talk. She had grown comfortable enough around Helothannin- it's hard not to like someone after comitting treason with them- but this woman was new to her, and she was always quiet around new people. She prefered to size them up in silence before interacting, if possible.

As she thought of how to respond, Zadora made a small sound of shock as Zaa left her side. The horse had been hers for... as long as she could remember. She had raised him from when he was a pony, as she could still have been considered herself when they first met. He knew her like nobody else, and was the most faithful companion she had. So, when he strode forward, it shocked her but she didn't reach out to stop him. Obviously, he wanted something.

She watched as he walked toward the Blood Elf, and had to cover her mouth to keep the smile from view when he then thumped his nose hard into the man's chest - he was sizing her new company up now, she realized. Seeing how on guard he needed to be, whether or not his human needed protecting. It was one of the things that made him so very endearing, but she worried for him all the time: he was more than a mount, he was a friend.

But this Elf was new, and she was wary of him. With a small whistle and a snap of her fingers, she gave Zaa a look with a clear meaning - get back over here, boy. When he turned his head to look at her, he huffed a little, whorls of smoke escaping his nostrils, as though to say 'leave me alone, I'm working here.'

But when the look didn't go away, he trundled back over to her, rubbing his nose against her hair playfully for a moment, back to the two members of the Horde. That gave Dora pause - apparently, Zaa trusted them, or he would never turn his back on them. Animal intuition always fascinated her, and she believed they were able to know so much more about a person than she could even glean in such a short time.

So, even though she didn't let her guard down as she patted his neck, she agreed to listen to the message he just sent her - she would see what these people might have in store, without writing them off as evil right away, "... The Defias are the one of the biggest problems to be found in human lands, especially Elwynn and Westfall."

As she cast her gaze to the Forsaken woman in the background, she kept speaking, "But I am not here to help only humans - I am here to help whoever needs it."

Helo smiled but kept his hands at his side when the horse approached him.

It was easier to admire the beast close up, and he could tell it was a well-bred animal...his hand did nearly inch up to pat the nose shoved into his chest, but since he had not been given permission to touch the horse, he resisted the urge and watched as the horse moved back to its master.

Smiling again, he returned his attention to the human. "I have been to Westfall, actually...I remained on the coast, however. In the process of getting there though, a small group of men and women made the poor decision to attack me - I must have been an easy target, by their reasoning: a lone blood elf, in the wrong region. Perhaps they thought I was lost." He shrugged, chuckling at the memory. "A bunch of common thugs, at best. These Defias...are they ruffians that wear, ah-" he paused, mentally sighing, "-wear bandanas around their face?"

And he nodded firmly at the woman's statement that she was here to help anyone - THAT was something he could approve of, being as he himself had set out to do exactly that, if he were able.

Reyvan's lips twitched into a slight smile at the mention of thugs in bandanas, thinking of the many times she herself had donned masks, including her recent adventure with Helo. Which, of course, made her think of the three humans they rescued. The humans who were now probably dead. The smile slipped from her lips.

At the second mention of the Defias, the human woman's face took on a look that was almost indescribable - burning rage, heartrending pain, and haunting guilt all warring for a place on her features, clear as day for a good thirty seconds before she was able to control them, "Yes. ... That would be them."

"Hmm. Perhaps I shall pay a visit back to that area some day," Helo said thoughtfully, eying the woman as he watched the wide range of emotions flicker across her face. "...I'm sorry, I did not mean to upset you."

Reyvan pulled a spare knife from her bag, along with a chunk of wood, half-carved into what looked like a horse. She began whittling away at it, watching the human woman out of the corner of her eye all the while.
