((A continuation of A Strange Party )) Luckily enough, the trip to Hyjal had been uneventful, at least for the most part. A few wild animals - of both the natural variety and those that supposedly had higher brain function - had visited them as they moved to the mountain, but Noamuth and the sharp brandish of cold steel were enough to run them off. Now, as the approached the vast, massive trunk of the tree she had heard so much about, Zadora couldn't help the awe that filled her voice as she reached out to touch it, "So this is Nordrassil..." Reyvan leaned back as far as she could, trying and failing to catch sight of the tree-top. Of course she'd known the thing would be huge, but seeing it in person was indescribable. "Damn," she murmured, reverence evident in her voice. |

Helo craned his neck to look up into the sky, where the tree top disappeared from view. "I had heard it was an amazing sight, but this is simply magnificent." In the back of his mind, he was faintly aware of Noamuth's reaction to their new environment. The lion's thoughts were a constant stream of conscious conversation that, while Helo knew it was a combination of magic and his own mind giving the lion's thoughts voice, was still something he had to quietly ignore lest it get him chuckling. What was running through Noamuth's and, consequently, Helo's mind at the moment was something along the lines of "Trees! Trees! Look at all the trees! Big trees! And grass! Bright grass that smells wet and moist and I want to roll in it and I smell running water somewhere - I'm thirsty! Will we have time to let me nap under the trees in this soft grass? I really want to go sniff that rock...that looks like a good rock to lay on. WOW that tree is even bigger than the others!" Along with the constant running commentary on the outdoors, the lion was all but frisking around like a kitten - wide-eyed, sniffing everything in reach, and batting playfully at tall grass and insects. All in all, Helo was having a very, very hard time not letting his amusement show. |

Bowing her head slightly in reverence, Dora gave pause to honor the tree in her thoughts - while it was no god to her, she knew of the vast importance it held to many, the faith so many put in to it as she put her own into the Light, and she respected that, "It is an honor to be here." |

Stroking Arcaedion's mane, Reyvan glanced around. "We should probably head for the nearest settlement, find out where we should go to help. Helo? Any maps of Hyjal in your collection?" |

"That is something of a ridiculous question," Helo said with a laugh. He pulled out his bundle of maps and sorted through them until he found the one for Mount Hyjal and the surrounding regions. "This map was recent two years ago, I can't predict what might have changed with the cataclysm. I believe we are north east of the capital, which is beneath Nordrassil's roots." |

Casting a cursory look over the map, Dora then nodded, "Let's head out then, we're doing no good standing here." |

Reyvan nodded and remounted Arcaedion. |

Helo carefully folded the maps and stowed them in his bags, then nudged Telon to get him moving in the right direction. "Noamuth, get over here." The lion poked his head out of some bushes, clearly unhappy about being called from his exploration, but hurried to catch up all the same. After a bit of travel, where Helo finally located the road on the map, the capital came into view - a typical night elf building with smaller structures around it, built with what looked like a balcony over the mystical lake Nordrassil's roots protected. The water of the lake sparkled even though the light was dim, and Helo could feel the immense amount of power in the air - so immense it formed a pressure behind his eyes that would likely form a headache later. Squinting relieved the pressure for now, thankfully. From their vantage point they could see figures dotting the landscape leading up to the capital - persons that could only be the Cenarion druids, and what looked like very angry elementals. All of it was between the travelers and the capital. Helo blinked several times, then went back to squinting. "Seems we may need to carve a path through." |

A subtle smirk crossed her lips as the sword slung over her back found its way into her hand, and the shield took up residence on the other arm, "I'll lead the way." Nudging Zaa up ahead of the others, Dora let the thrill of battle overtake her. These were small battles, to be sure, but battles nonetheless, and this was the kind of place she belonged. Letting Rey and Helo do what they would, she moved toward their destination in a slow but steady pace, Zaa the perfect companion to help her clear their way. |
