Sebastian urged Loyalty in behind Zadora and her steed, quickly unfastening the axe that hung so closely to his backside. Slinging the large, arcanite object outward, he prepared to make contact with a few heads and torsos. The sickening sounds of the metal thudding against bodies and cracking bones was something he dreaded to hear now. He curled his lips downward, brow furrowed before he leapt from horseback into a full charge toward an awestruck, but well-prepared cultist. He felt the suppressed sadist rise up within him as a burst of flame nipped at his face. Baring his teeth he brought his axe around his body, making contact with the man's waist - easily bringing him down to his knees, "I HATE staining my axe!" He growled, though he appeared more comical than menacing as his body crunched in anger. |

She didn't dismount from Zaa yet - his added hight made her the most obvious target and also gave her the advantage of being able to see better and focus her energy downward instead of up. Zaa knew what he was doing and guided her into the fray without so much as a whinny of dissent, his hooves smashing into chests and heads as her sword sent specks of blood flying through the air. It was gruesome, but needed to be done. With an eye to the shadows, she tried to keep an eye out for Reyvan, not wanting the woman to get hurt. Zaa was intelligent, but he didn't know that one of their own was hidden from view and she was afraid of Rey getting hit by him, though that was silly. She knew the woman was smart enough to stay away from her horse. |

As always, Helo chose his shots carefully, attempting to maximize his position as much as possible by ensuring no cultist in the group managed to make it around the horses and flank the two riders. He did his best to ignore the glee radiating from Noamuth, who was harrying the backs of the cultists and enjoying the taste of hot blood along with the thrill of the fight. It was dizzying to hear one moment the lion exulting in his latest kill, and then a moment later claim the humanoid he'd just killed tasted terrible - though in a way Helo was relieved at the reassurance that the lion would not ever kill someone for food. Briefly he heard the whistling of arrows that were not his own, and looked up to see a troll armed with a bow perched on the edge of the cliffside above them. A well-aimed shot brought the troll tumbling down lifelessly to land on the road with a crunch; if Helo's shot hadn't killed the male, then the thirty foot drop and landing most certainly had. |

The cultists were so distracted by the battle that they didnt notice the dark figure standing among the captives until the binds had been severed, and the captives turned on their captors. Reyvan allowed herself a satisfied smile before she launched herself into the fray, daggers slashing. |

Feeling his heart begin to race with the sheer adrenaline of the moment, Sebastian's body continued to move forward - this time into a huge Ogreish brute. The size of the creature alone seemed enough to dwarf the man and his attempts at taking a few whacks. However, with Ogres being as dumb as a sack of rocks, Sebastian found himself easily hacking through the large brute with little resistance ( aside from getting a nice crack across the jaw from his meaty hands ). As the Ogre fell, the man stepped back to rub at his jaw. He could hear it pop as it seemed to snap back into place, "Owowowowow! Shit!" He cursed, "Note to self: Avoid their fat hands! GODS!" As he cursed, he could feel movement at his backside - quickly he turned to find another bald human staring him in the face. Suddenly metal began whooshing by his head and body at every turn, causing him to quickly began to shuffle backwards. His hands fidgeted around his axe handle, bringing the arcanite beast upward to parry attacks, "Right ... rule one: Don't get distracted." He chortled. |

Though she wasn't paying attention to his words, the sounds of Sebastian talking to himself were welcome - meant he was still alive enough to make noise. Slowly but methodically, Zadora and Zaa worked their way through the mass of creatures in front of them and it wasn't until the last one fell with an arrow through his neck that she allowed her sword and shield to rest. Surveying their work, she nodded at the gruesome but necessary outcome. They were all dead, and the hostages unscathed, "Good work, everyone." |

With a nudge of his knees, Helo urged Telon down to the others. "Everyone unscathed? More or less?" he added, looking at Sebastian. |

Reyvan wiped her bloodied daggers on the grass to clean them before turning to the others, nodding at Helothannin's words. ((Sorry I've been slow in responding lately. And that when I do post, the posts are kinda short and uninspired. School has been eating me alive.)) |

Sebastian grunted, giving a nod, "I'm fine. This'll just smart for a while." He gave half of a grin, the left side of his face howling in pain. He stepped over the body of the cultist he had been scuffling with, latching his axe back into place. Moving back to Loyalty, he grabbed at the steed's reigns as he hoisted himself over the saddle, "I'd say job well done!" |

"Let Helo tend to that, before we move on, if he would," Dora hated to leave a wound uncovered and exposed - it was best to get it treated before it got worse. They had a moment's respite and it was best to take care of it now, before they encountered another wandering band of monsters. (It's okay, Rey. |
