"Noamuth, go!"

The lion roared and leaped forward, turning into a flurry of fangs and claws - and was just as easily slapped aside as Sebastian had been.

Helo backpedaled as fast as he could without losing his footing, bringing his bow to bear and firing. Several arrows found their mark but hardly seemed to phase the ghostly beast.

With a grunt Helo dropped a trap at his feet and used the toe of a boot to slide it behind him: that should effectively serve as a warning if something should sneak up from behind. A moment later he dropped a second trap and again used his foot to move it, this time launching it directly at the ghost-wolf beast.

"Shield your eyes!" he yelled in warning, raising up an arm briefly to protect his eyes from the sudden burst of bright flame in the dim cave, as the trap hit its mark and detonated.

When their newfound charges did nothing but mutter awkwardly amongst themselves, Zadora glared, pulling out her authoritative voice, "Look, we don't have time for this. Which one of you is the leader here?" When a small, mousy man was shoved forward by the rest - apparently, he wasn't must interested in being a leader - Zadora had to force herself not to sigh, "Do you have a place to go, yes or no?"

Greeted by the timid shake of a head, Dora felt her impatience rise along with a sense of disquiet - this meant they would have to get even farther away from the men and she detested that idea. It was not as though they had a better choice though, they needed to get these people to safety, "Reyvan, can you watch our rear, then?" Relativly sure the other woman wouldn't tell her no, Dora then turned her attention back to the group at large, "form a line, two abreast and however many deep. You're going to have to watch your own flanks, we can't do everything."

When they hesitated she clapped her hands once, the sharp sound ringing slightly - she was being brusque, but she had to be, "Let's get a move on, now!"

Sebastian hit the ground of the cave with a rather loud and rattling thud, quickly clambering away as Helothannin yelled from behind him. Bringing an arm up to his face, he covered his eyes waiting for the light to fade. He'd been around hunters before, yet he'd never had to dodge traps. Perhaps he were just more used to archers than anything.

"Brilliant!" He called from behind his plated arm.

"That would be why I said to shield your eyes," Helo quipped, beginning to fire arrow after arrow into a now-very angry, and on-fire, false wolf god, squinting against the glare and also finding the smell of flaming fur to be incredibly unpleasant in such a small space.

Reyvan
Reyvan
Reyvan supressed a relieved smile when Zadora stepped forward and began ordering the ex-captives about. It was good that at least one of them knew how to deal with uncooperative strangers.

When Dora asked her to watch the rear, Reyvan nodded immediately, and fell into place behind the forming line.

A stern frown sat squarely on Zadora's face until all the former captives had fallen into line as ordered. Once that was done she took the lead, sword and shield out at the ready for when - not if - they ran into any enemies. With only one backward glance to make sure Reyvan was okay and in position she then headed back toward the shrine, hoping they could make it with as little problems as possible.

Simply waving a hand about in half-hearted response, he forced himself to his feet. Rolling his shoulder to work out the impact of his fall, he quickly picked up his axe and began his charge at the large wolf.

"Now ... when I want you to bleed, you'll bleed - damnit!" Sebastian huffed, swinging his axe up and at the chest of the large beast. This time he had managed to make impact thanks to Helo's quick thinking. The satisfying sound of his weapon striking was enough to make him grin sadistically.

Even though the wolf-creature snapped at Sebastian, those jaws had lost considerable strength. Helo filled its flank with arrows as it began to slowly collapse to the floor.

"Was beginning to think this thing was unkillable," Helo said after a moment. He ceased firing as Sebastian closed into melee range again, but glanced at the altar and then groaned.

Another ghostly figure was beginning to form, from a ball of golden light.

Luckily enough they made it back to the shrine without any issues and Zadora was more than happy to drop off their newly-freed captives. Taking a breath as she and Reyvan walked back into the sunlight, she then gave the world a little half-smile and turned to the other woman, voice gentle as she spoke, "You okay?" It had been a rough few days and Reyvan had been working hard - Dora just needed to make sure she was getting through this okay.
