Ipsa stopped. She wasn't terribly small for a woman of her people, and she had been braced for trouble, and so Daire's clawed toes did little more than leave scratches through the Tauren's sparse fur. The shaman looked over her shoulder, but didn't bother turning. "...You prefer to crawl?" she asked, shaking her trapped ankle to free it and, ideally, crush the smaller Forsaken's other foot with her hoof.

She was lithe enough to pull her foot back before the other creature could do it any harm, the glow of magic still lighting her hands. By the Dark Lady, it would feel so good to unleash it into this worthless hide - she could skin it afterwards, make a nice cow-skin bag to carry her herbs, "You wouldn't attack me when you had the chance, coward."

"Is it not cowardly to strike from behind?" Ipsa asked blandly, cocking an ear. She somehow doubted that this unquiet spirit cared at all about such things as honor and cowardice.

"Tch," was the first response the tauren got, but then the magic glowing in the undead's hands dimmed and finally vanished as she continued on, "If you're too weak to fight me on the battlefield, what's your challenge then, cow?"

Ipsa bared her teeth in a horrible approximation of a flatface smile. "A test of will, then. Let me pass; I don't think you can. Come, I give you my back." Once again, she turned around, ostentatiously, and moved to go. Even though she was expecting some violence, she refused to turn her head and watch the corpse.

"Pathetic," was the one word that escaped her lips before a flash of gold left her hands, surrounding the Tauren in a bubble of bright light. Sadly, it was a shield spell and not something that would hurt her, but the goal was to disorient the cow. If Daire could get her distracted, pummeling her with a fist shouldn't be too hard. Something about the mangy, flea-ridden animal really rubbed her the wrong way.

Ipsa jerked her head up, tail lashing hard enough to stir the red dust in a cloud. It was no magic she'd ever seen or felt before, not drawn from the elements or the natural world, and it felt - she couldn't quite put a name to it.
Suffice to say the Tauren was more than distracted enough for Daire's fist to connect if the Forsaken so chose.

That was all she needed and Daire pulled back, laughing as she slammed her fist into the tauren's back, over her kidney. How pathetic that the creature seemed shocked by a simple bubble. Where did she come from, the bottom of the ocean?
