Faulkner was the second-in-command of a tribe led by a man named Volsung, a proud and courageous fighter. One day, on a hunt with Volsung and some other men, they came across a ruined temple on the northern coast. Volsung went to go explore inside and came out a completely different man. Volsung, at times raving and frothing at the mouth, now was violent, murderous, and paranoid. He began to lead his tribe to war against the surrounding tribes, for little or no reason. Furthermore, he no longer trusted Faulkner, and attempted to have him assassinated. Faulkner survived the attempt, but knew he could no longer remain in northern Cantabria. With almost no knowledge of the outside world, he wandered south, and eventually wound up in the Umbrian capital, where his skill and strength impressed army officials. Faulkner had no intention of serving in any army; he merely hoped to find someone who could explain what had happened to Volsung and perhaps fix the ailment. He articulated this point to everyone they could, but the Umbrian officials did not understand and placed him in a militia unit charged with defense of the capital. When Bryant's army arrived, his superiors instructed him to kill them, but Faulkner decided he would not attack without knowing the reason why. Although Bryant too knows little about what Faulkner is talking about when he explains about the temple and Volsung, Dodgeson has a glimmer of recognition and wondered if perhaps Faulkner had stumbled upon the location of the Fire Emblem. Quietly, he told Faulkner that if he would join their side, they would help him out, but he couldn't say anything about the temple or Volsung to anyone else in the party, especially Nathaniel (who Dodgeson had begun to lose trust in). Faulkner, overjoyed that finally someone would listen to him, was all too happy to join. Personality: A bit backwards, he knows little of the goings-on of the world outside his small home range. The Umbrian capital itself is very confusing for him, and he is often bewildered at its size and scope. His main desire in life is to return home to northern Cantabria, and hopefully heal his friend Volsung, although the latter goal proves impossible. He is a skilled hunter and tracker and an excellent guide. As Dodgeson had him quietly join the team, Bryant and the other members of the squad don't know who he is at first and express confusion. Ultimately he tries to be helpful even to strangers who don't want his help. After the events of the game, he remains near the temple and helps found a new city from its ruins, inviting the remains of his band to stay with him. That's in the right direction of general appearance, but get rid of the spikes (because they're too obvious). Also, he needs more of a neck, along with better shading. |

You make it look like it's rusting by customing the color and adding a touch of red in it. |
