This Jedi Order is not doing well, we should consider a change in leadership.

It's not so much a leadership problem as it is an issue of rank balances. A Jedi Order is rarely successful when the number of knights and above are greater than the number of students. This is because those that roleplay students rely on their peers for roleplay because a lot of knights+ are able to preoccupy themselves with things such as temple security, investigations etc. and typically act as if they have better things to do than to spend time with a student. This is not the ego of the average high ranking Jedi, its just good roleplay does not often stem from formal non master-padawan relationships and the student usually ends up getting told to return to his studies. However, knights+ do rely heavily on a good pool of students. Not only to find a Padawan that matches their personality but to hold classes and occupy themselves that way. This is near impossible to do in the current state of the Jedi and instead of students working to get noticed, the masters must snatch up the nearest student before its too late. The limit on Jedi does have a negative impact on the servers population as well, what does one do when the map is jedicouncilgcx? Well, they get slept and asked to get into a proper role. A role that is impossible for that new player to obtain. So they leave and find another RP server. So, I say make the Order less elitist. For the past week that i've been here I have seen us RP Jedi nearly the whole time, which means we limit the servers active players, to twelve. |

Well at this point, the current jedi need to be controlled before we add anymore because daily theres some complaint or another from multiple people about the faction. And the only difference Nexius has made by coming back is being one of the complainers or part of the complaint.

Or, we should just spend less time on the Jedi and focus on factions that do matter plot-wise. |

So why wasn't it good that time on Outcry when you were somewhat leading? |

Because students>knights is not a formula for success in a Jedi Order, but it is one of the criteria. When I took the title of grandmaster the Order was already falling apart. But, I think it turned out well towards the end, and because of my strict no candy-rank policy, those that were there to RP and not moan in OOC were rewarded for it. Although judging by the way you asked, I don't think your question was genuine and more of an attack on me because I ended up having to exile your character which you appeared to take personally. |

Agreeing with Wyrst. The Jedi aren't the be all and end all. Other factions make up this plot too. Rather limiting why not get some interaction with the Jedi with other factions. Or halt Jedi RP for the time being and focus on other factions. Also I rather think that the plot needs a story arc that ties every character and faction in. That way you can get your plot twists etc for some big final cataclysm that would affect everything. Give the scale of your RP's and edge. And perhaps at the end it leads to a power change over or something. That will allow new types of RP to happen a new story arc to develop. Rather stick to the mundane repetition why not have some dynamics. |
