There is actually a bunny in this crate.![]() Believe it or not, our Amelia is there. She does this all the time. Fascinating watching her build her nest. Actually can see her peeking out at me after I called her name. She will stop to acknowledge you but will then continue doing her job. ![]() Here's Maurice this morning. Now he wants to romp and go into the carrier. He's truly a piece of work. Just a pleasure. ![]() Sorry about the big stain on the carpet, Jake isn't feeling good as he's getting old real fast on us. Constant tummy issues now. Poor guy, was just so embarrassed after this happened. Just wasn't fast enough when I heard him. We all get old, but it really saddens me to see Jake get so old so fast. Trying to make him as comfortable as possible in his "golden years". KAZ |

That first picture is too much! Wow, she is good at hiding. Poor Jake. Wishing him well. |

She does hide well. The first time she did it, scared me as I could think of how she would have gotten out. I realized she was there because all I heard was chomping, lol. Thanks for the well wishes for Jake. He's hanging in there but just getting old real fast. We thought we were battling the weight loss, but he's just skin and bones now. Can't get any weight on him now. KAZ |

Did get some resting boards for the bigguns'. They are a big hit. Both used them right away. It was funny, trying to install the resting boards when being helped by big buns. It was hoot! I would get one end down and they would be pulling up the other side. Eventually did get them installed and both used them right away. Regarding the hay racks, I think I'm a bit to late on that one. Maurice, my buck has come to like the pile hay which he then runs around, separates to where there are two spots in the back that he uses for a toilet. And the rest he eats. Amelia will keep her hay in the middle, but by the morning, it's completely gone. She still likes to be "in it", the hay that is. Sometimes still can't see her, she buries herself. This is all on me. No big deal. Learning to live with a little mess. They, the bunnies, have learned where they want their hay and how it is being used. Our Tribe does go through a lot of hay. Most if goes in the bellies. Which is a GOOD thing. KAZ |

Do you know Amelia still loves burying herself in her hay. Just so funny to watch. But do have to say, when I come out in the morning, most of the hay is gone. She might play with her "food" first, but then does hunker down and eat it. Still thinking hay rack, but am not real upset with the mess. Really no REAL waste of hay as she does go thru it. And why take away the fun she has at first. Know it's not nice to "play with your food", but in this way, does end up where it's supposed to, in her belly. She absolutely LOVES the paper towel roll filled with hay and treats. Last night my husband had a great time playing 'tug a war' with it with her. You should see her, though, running around with it, using her neck to shake out the hay. Definitely fun with hidden exercise. KAZ |

Burying herself again, lol. I would take a photo but my husband is using the camera, as his got a bit "chilled" in the sub-zero weather. Actually has a dirty lens gear, which he's working with. We have a ball watching her. This is how she rearranges her hay. We watch burrow, then push up and then stamp down with her paws. It's funny to watch. My husband loves to call her name and she stops to listen. Or peeks out to see if any goodies are being offered. If not, she continues. lol KAZ |

Not so much silly, but I think she's nesting. Definitely different than my little does, who do push hay to a certain part of the crate to make a nice bed. My husband watched her. She gets underneath the hay, starts poking around with her nose, pushing up, and rotating clockwise while doing. Makes a nice bed afterwards, that she lays on and pulls pieces of hay out to eat. Don't know whether its a picky eater or nesting. Either way, it's funny to watch and she enjoys it. I guess that's all that matters. Plus she does eat tons of hay that way. Nothing wasted.
