I feel like I'm posting a lot...sorry.

Anyways...do you think bucks or does bond better?

I had a mini lop buck who was my very best friend. I loved him so much and you could tell he loved me. He opened up and was able to run around our 5 acre yard with little supervision because he never strayed far from his cage or me. He growled at our 80 pound dog and chased our cats around the yard. He binkied non stop and was just a fantastic rabbit. At the same time I had rescued 7 year old Snickers who was a female sable rabbit. She was sweet, but jumpy and I was more her slave than her friend. Now I have the experience of having a buck and a doe, same age, same genetics, and realized that my buck is much more curious of me and much easier to bond while my doe tends to be a bit more territorial and aggressive and jumpy.

So is it just my luck or have you guys noticed this too?

I know that most people prefer bucks, as they say that they are more outgoing and don't tend to get sassy like some does do.

Personally, I prefer my does. I have had plenty of bucks that I liked a lot and my first bunny is the sweetest old man, but I like my girls more for some reason.

Don't worry about posting a lot. lol

I lean towards bucks being better pets. They do have a more easier road than does. Have time to be more curious and outgoing. Does have to be territorial as they need to protect their young. Though spayed, some still go through the nesting ritual (just hard wired in them). So you have bouts of "PMS" which some may think is not friendly.

A lot of individual variation, and significant overlap (some does much nicer than some bucks - my 'worst' bunny was a buck and my son's doe among the best) but on average -- bucks are friendlier.

I've noticed that my bucks have always been more outgoing. My late buck, Louie, was very outgoing towards humans and animals alike.
