All bucks... yikes! At least they're cute, but I hope a few are just tricking you.

Yup, pretty positive I've got a litter of bucks! (Although I can hope that one is just tricking me, right?) The one we lost at a few days old looked like a doe. It's actually kind of ironic - Eve was from a litter of 4, all does, and Coby (this litter's sire) was from a litter of 2 bucks  . Maybe next time I'll get does again!

ZRabbits and Cookie, thank you! I love this age :wubz: .
Your welcome! It is a lovely age, watching learning so much.

And regarding boys, love boys, as I think they make the best pets! Plus great to start your "foundation".

Hoping though NCK, that maybe one is fooling you and is actually a doe. We know how well some rabbits can fool us up to the very end.

Babies turned 2 weeks old yesterday! This litter is pretty calm, though I do have one little guy who likes to surprise me with sudden bursts of energy. He seems to think he can fly  but fortunately he hasn't hurt himself yet. I have my eye on him. At this age, I look at ear length in proportion to the head, and then bone - love both on him so far. Actually, the whole litter it looking pretty nice right now.

This was a full brother to sister breeding. Coby was born in July of last year, and Eve was born in November. Their parents were complete outcrosses with good genetics behind them. I felt like Eve and Coby balanced each other out very nicely. Coby is typey with a nice body and ears, but lacks in overall mass and could have thicker bone. Eve has huge bone and is super wide. I'm hopeful that one or two of the kits will end up with a lot of those good traits, and just really excited to see how this litter turns out overall. If I decided to keep one, I'd have to look for another doe to add some genetic diversity to the herd. Perhaps I would be brave and go for some color! I've always liked sable points, and self blacks and blues.

Eve was being so protective of her kits today when we had some friends over. She kept sitting in front of her nest box and just staring at me! She is such a good mom. :wubz:
