Beautiful shiny black! Love the last pic, as you really see the length of the ears.

Black is just hard to judge and also photograph. But truly think they are just black. And definitely really cute.

Hope you post updated pics.

Interesting thoughts, Neubunny. I wonder if that may be the case with mine too.

Super cute babies! Hopefully you'll have some with nice type.

Thanks! I've been breeding for a few years now, keep trying out different rabbits to see what I get. I hope this breeding will really give me my "start" to my own line. :)

Fingers and toes crossed that your "start of your own line" begins!

One of the kits, it's wobbling funny? No wry neck but it shakes when I pick it up.. like it's balance is slightly off? I'm thinking it got something in it's ear (one of the ears is flopped over already).. should I just keep an eye on it or is their anything I can do with it this young (7 days old)?

Sidd- I do not yet but I'll ask my friend whom owns him if she has a picture ^_^

I can't believe how relaxed these kits are, every single kit I've had up until this litter would rarely sit long enough in my hand to get a good picture! Here is one sleepy kit passed out in my hand lol

How's the "wobbly" one doing? Did you check to see if there is anything in his/her ear?

Also good for you, love to see relaxed kits. Some more than others have that ability to say "oh I'm in good hands". Enjoy those precious babies! Going to grow up to be some really "I'm here, play and love me" sweet hollands.

Oil (mineral, baby, or vegetable) in the ears will help if mites are responsible for the wobbliness. I wouldn't trust using anything stronger on a kit this young. Fingers crossed it is nothing serious.

I have had kits before that I considered "wobbly" but not shaky. I left one be the first time and it ended up getting head tilt very young (about 3 weeks old). I consider it an early sign... the wobble back and forth. Hopefully yours is different.

well I checked on the kits this morning and it seems a few of them are wobbly. No signs of mites, nothing in their ears. Nest box never got too dirty or anything. I picked one of them up and it shakes in the palm of my hands as it tries to sit up or scoot backwards.. could I just be noticing them trying to balance in my hands? The solid tort doesn't seem to do it as much and they are all able to crawl around just fine. I have had a 3 week old get wry neck before and was able to treat it but this doesn't seem to be that. I've never had them shake when picked up before though at 8 days old some of them when picked up try to sit up on their butts so I'm hoping it's just their balance is off. Wish I could get a vid of it. Besides the wobbly/shaking they act normal and are eating just fine.

Doesn't sound like what I'm talking about. Could just be trying to balance, like you said. I would leave them be for now and see what happens, if there is an issue with them you should be able to identify and treat it later.

Yeah I'm going to leave them be for the next few days, like you said, not much you can do with kits this young.

checked up on kits this morning and everyone seems great! Didn't notice any shaking or wobbling so not sure why they were doing that.
