Ok so here is the tort buck, I really do like him! I had to hold him in a pose only because he was WAY too busy to hold still for 2 seconds for a pic lol

So what I like about him thus far:

His shoulders are nice and wide and short, no shoulder dip
His ears in some pics look a tad slipped however he holds them perfectly (i.e. they go in front of his eyes and holds them right when relaxed), they are good shape and thickness
Crown is looking good as well
His rear end is nice and full and round, not pinched
Midsection is nice and short to
Looks like he might get good curvature to his forehead (still too soon to tell)

My concerns are:

Width between the eyes, I would "like" to see a little bit more however he comes out of a lot of L & R rabbitry which is known to be a slower developing line with heads.
The other concern is his bone mass, I would like to see a bit more mass.
I hope he isn't going to be "leggy" in the front feet.. would like to see fuller chest (fur wise).

What do you think thus far? I know he is only 5.5 weeks old but I think he's worth growing out a bit. I also need a back up buck.. always like to have more than one buck around just in case. I'm betting he can hold a pose naturally but again he's only 5.5 weeks old so he just didn't want to even sit still for 1 second (nor do my kids LOL). :)

So Ebony's kits are 8 weeks old today! I'm really tempted just to sell all six kits. The tort is still good but the lack of width between the forehead bugs me.. I'm still learning how hollands develop with age and I would think that his current width will always stay as such (expect may get fuller but not wider) correct? I will post a picture of him soon and see what you guys think. This litter really is a "piece one kit with another" lol not one has all the points I want. :-P

8 weeks generally isn't a good time to evaluate, especially on the head. It might be worth keeping him a while until he comes out of the ugly stage to see what he looks like then.

Was this an outcross?
