We had a great time in Corralitos at the Triple Crown/All Specialties Show today. It's a fun show on the CA coast held under huge Redwood trees. We've cut back our shows drastically this year to two local shows, JW Nationals, and Convention so we were thrilled to be there. Here is how the boys and I did: Show A Jersey Wooly Judge: Jonnie Haussener Broken: Lover - 1/1 Sr buck, BOSG (leg?) Silver Spoon - 3/3 Sr. doe Self Rubio - 1/4 Jr buck, BOSG (leg?) Whoa, Nelly! - 1/4 Jr doe Shaded Hot Stuff - 1/2 Sr buck, BOSG Keep Tryin' Little Mama - 1/3 Sr doe, BOG, BOB! (leg) Channel No. 5 - 1/4 Jr doe Kiss Me - 2/4 Jr doe Tan Cricket - 1/1 Sr doe BOG by default Polish Judge: Mike Ritter Black Jack - 1/? Sr buck, BOSV, BOSB! (3rd leg for GC) Panama Jack - 3/? Sr buck Axel - 1/? Jr buck Show B Jersey Wooly Judge: Joe Lugo Broken: Lover - 1/1 Sr buck, BOSG (leg?) Silver Spoon - 3/3 Sr. doe Self Rubio - 1/4 Jr buck, BOSG (leg?) Whoa, Nelly! - 1/4 Jr doe Shaded Hot Stuff - 1/2 Sr buck, BOSG Keep Tryin' Little Mama - 1/3 Sr doe, BOG Channel No. 5 - 2/4 Jr doe Kiss Me - 1/4 Jr doe Tan Cricket - 1/1 Sr doe BOG by default Polish Judge: Johnie Haussener Black Jack - 1/? Sr buck, BOV, BOB!! (4th leg) Panama Jack - 2/? Sr buck Axel - 3/? Jr buck I was very happy that KTLM took BOB and that every rabbit from my new Shaded project placed high and consistently. Also, I've never seen my 6 yr old smile so big as when he won BOSB and BOB. He won his first trophy ever as well as a very nice plate and stand. When the judge told him he won BOB, my son exclaimed "That was easy! Everyone busted out laughing. There were probably 60 Polish all competing on Open. He just didn't have the attention span to stick around for the judging so all he knew is he put his rabbit up, went and played in the dirt, and the next thing he knows he's got a really cool award.

Yes. She's the blue do I had planned to cull and then "Whoa!". At Nationals, one judge said she won her class because of her body and wool but said "I hate her head and ears". I agreed completely. However, three months later, in Corralitos, I recall one judge saying "She's got an excellent head and ear" so, . I swear, though, apparently, I can't figure out Blues. I entered a younger Blue doe to see how she'd do. I tattooed her "RUBY" since her name was short enough. The first judge says "Um, I think we have a problem, this doe is a buck" *looks in left ear* "Ruby?! That IS a problem". LOL Luckily, he had his table help enter the little guy in the Jr Buck class instead of just DQing him, because, he took BOSG - both shows.
