Variety: Black, Chocolate, Lilac, Blue. Each of those colors are categorized into a group: Self. This is the easiest way I can explain it: Netherland Dwarfs are first judged in a variety class. For example all of the blacks go against themselves. After the age classes are placed (i.e. 1st senior black buck), the judge picks the best out of those blacks: BOV. Then Chocolates, then Lilac, then Blue are judges separately. Once those varieties are placed for BOV, the judge picks the best out of the whole group, based on the BOV winners. The top rabbit wins BOG, and waits for the other groups to finish before going up for BOB. Does that make sense? ETA: If a rabbit that is judged The same way Dwarfs are wins a BOG, that means they won BOV first. Edited by fuzzypatch, Jul 19 2011, 01:11 PM.

I'm thinking group. It's a group of varieties shown together. That's weird though, I've seen some weird typos on pedigrees though One of my rabbits has a Ruby-Eyed White-Ve in theres. What Ve stands for , I have no idea. |

Technically, for angoras the word should be BOG, because the colors are grouped. However, the more common term for the same award is BOV. But it's regarded as the same. And no, the ARBA won't care which is listed. |

That's the show secretaries fault. She must have been confused, and unaware of the way the rabbit was shown. Probably thought the writer made a mistake and forgot to put BOV down when they put BOG, OR the writer put that down. One of the 2s fault. I wouldn't worry about it. It the leg said there were 2 exhibitors, then I would worry

I would have the show secretary make you new ones. I have had this happen with my angoras before. ARBA, would not accept them towards the rabbits G.C. Certificate. ARBA told me I had to either contact the show sec. to see if she would send me new ones. Or I could show the rabbit again and try to ear more legs. However, with angoras it is BOV (Colored or White) only. |
