So our main focus is our Red Mini rex. Super downsize before we all go back to school. We are planning on only having 2 does with their litters. Not really too worried about a buck now. Getting trio Torts(+ a broken black) in a couple weeks and we're using the buck to start our broken red lines.

I like varieties that tie into each other, plus no cage space. I know how my sisters are and they will always go back to their reds. Should I get some chocolates? Are they a difficult variety to work on?

personally love a good chocolate! but I don't think they are going to be very compatible with your reds -- I don't think choc. agouti, creams (choc version of reds) or choc torts are showable in minirex. so you would have to keep them as a separate line. Lack of compatibility is the main reason we don't have any chocolate in our barn (though I am looking for a broken chocolate French angora doe -- F. angora accept so many of the colors that other breeds don't)
