These two does are sisters.

I was originally only going to keep Sandshine as she has a three part front, but as Shar matured she started to develop a nicer body and then I noticed her tummy....

This is Sandshine

What are your thoughts on these two? I didn't take side view shots as generally type isn't considered as important in Harlequins (though I think it is).

Love Shar's belly! <3

What does a three part front mean?

Will she be ok to show even though her pale ear is on the same side as the pale part of her face? I love how perfect the division on her face is!

BTW I am no harlie expert, I just think she is adorable! They both are! :)

The 3 part is nice, and face split on the second doe is very nice. The body banding needs lots of work. They're very solid where very few if any bands can be made out. I'm noticing it a lot more with all Harlequins. It seems that aspect has went down the drain. i notice with the second doe that back feet alternate with the front, can't tell from the first one though.

Mich the 3 part front has to do with the front of the rabbit. The ears, the face, and then chest/legs should alternate. Her first doe does that very well, and the doe in my avatar does as well.

Part one: ears should alternate

Part Two: face should alternate correctly with the ears

Part Three: chest/legs should alternate correctly with the face.

i know that about the harlequin...so the three part front intrigues me enough that I'll be keeping her. BUT the build on the black one says KEEP this one. The fact that she has the nice checkerboard tummy is just an added bonus. Other than her face spitting on the wrong side she is exactly what I want to be breeding at this stage in my breeding of harlequins.

should I ever get more space and more room to expand my herd, I'll start selecting for cleaner animals (as opposed to looking at build and markings), and of course have more does. :)

I dunno if you were refering to my rundown of the 3 part but Mich asked what it was and that is all I answerd.
