The meat rabbit forum is going to be password protected shortly for the following reasons:
1.) It is a serious topic meant to help those who are interested in raising or raise commercial rabbits or those wanting to learn how to cull. It is Somewhere they can posts comments, questions, and thoughts without being judged by those against it.
2.) Although it is only visible to members, we cannot control who signs up to the forum and may be offended by items in the forum.
3.) It is not a place to gain a post count by stating how you could never process a rabbit etc etc.

If you are interested in gaining access to the forum once it has a password in place, please PM me with the reason you would like the password. Those members who sincerely post in the forum already will have the password PM'd to them.

Anyone who shares the password or enters and posts in the forum without receiving the password from myself, or spams/trolls may face either a warning, temporary, or permanent ban from the forum depending on the situation.

You may be denied the password if:
1.) You have shown a lack of maturity on the forum.
2.) You have "spammed" the meat forum already.
3.) You do not provide a good enough reason on why you would like the password. ("Because I want it" is not a good enough reason)
4.) You have shown that you are against using rabbits commercially on other parts of the forum
5.) Or you show up as a mass hsus/peta/ara supporter if I google your name.
*If I deny you the password I will always state the reason why.

I hope no one is too offended by this, it's only meant as a safety precaution for those members who wish to post there.

I have set up a password. Those of you who have already posted will received the password shortly. Thank you for understanding.

Also, please don't pass out the password. If I notice it is being used by those who do not have prior clearance, it will be dealt with.

This is not a punishment, but a precaution. Things have recently come up, and the mods and I feel that it is best to protect the forum.

query.... have people been AR attacked? ... I am wondering if some areas of the meatrabbits forum can be left up in order to teach and help... but have other areas restricted.

people won't learn if we hide so wondering how we can accomplish both. Protect the writers and yet be informative.

Even a disclaimer that one needs to click on before going into the meat rabbits area that says "This is the meat rabbits forum, if you find the use of rabbits used for meat purposes offensive DO NOT enter. If you do and act in an inappropriate manner your comments will be deleted and you will be banned".

That way those who have a need to learn, or are just starting to express some curiousity about it can enter it, but all others are warned away.

I just hate to see it completely hidden away and not useful to those who might actually NEED to learn how to deal with things humanely.

Out of curiosity what exactly happened that made you create a password? If you don't want me to know, just don't answer. Just wondering why... :)

TROLLS in the Meat forum! I thought you ought to know... (Said in a Prof Quirrel voice...OKAY I am a nerd shush)

We were starting to have a problem with people wanting to increase their post count by posting on every topic whether it is relevant to the topic or not. Certain posts although were probably not meant to be offensive but could be taken as such and to prevent feelings from being hurt or fights we thought it would be best if we made such a controversial forum hidden to those who will not use it properly and only those who sincerely use the forum to learn to be able to use it without having to defend themselves every other post. A simple warning does not keep those who get offended from reading it and everyone is allowed their own opinions on the matter so we won't ban someone for their views but we can protect those who wish to have it as an educational resource without getting hassled for it.

I enjoy reading the meat forum, for although I don't raise rabbits for meat right now, I would like to someday.

But right now, a guest can find this forum full of all the rules that say there are hidden forums. In fact, it's at the top of the list and can catch peoples' eyes. Just a thought. ;-)
