He is a bit sloped, but not nearly as bad as he was when he was at his ugliest I think he's maturing nicely. Not as nicely as his half sister matured, but close.FP's Duece - my homebred buck ![]() sloped... is that even the right term? Gosh, words are not coming to me right now, and I can't even figure out if that's the right word!!!

How old is this guy? ![]() Right now, I like the development of his head and ear. The ears look to be short, thick, and well furred. And his head appears to be pulling in good shape and fullness too. As far as his body, it appears as though he lacks depth to the upper hindquarter, and also may lack fullness in the lower hindquarter. The lower HQ is more difficult to judge from pictures, but just based on how his foot appears to be flared a bit. Depending on age, he looks pretty rough in coat as well. If he is a very young junior, I wouldn't worry too much, they do go through that funky stage! But if he is a little older, I'd keep an eye on it. |

He's 4 months old, BD: May 25 He's still pulling in that wool cap, he's finishing a horrific head molt. His body definitely is better than what it looked like a few weeks ago, so he may be one of those ew at 3/4 months, but pull it together later on ![]() Marshmallow was like that, if some of you remember critiquing her when she was in her uglies on RH. |

Oh ok, he's still a young'in then! I definitely like the development of his head for this age. I don't know about the lines you use, but mine have very skinny little funky heads at that age. LOL! It is usually closer to 5 or 6 months that the wool caps start coming in. I always have to remind myself that I can't start selling off juniors for head issues because they always come around and look great later on.

Deidre Edder likes to visit us down here, so she dominates a lot of our lines. I love his head! That's what I've been focusing on, it's his body that I'm wondering about. It is improving, but how much is the question, and will it keep improving. You should have seen him 2 weeks ago, his wool cap was FUNKY. |
