seals tell you that Moppet is definitely carrying shaded - so she is
aaB-CchlDdEse

I don't think 'smoke pearl steel' is a color. smoke pearl has to be aa and steels have to be A-. I suppose a shaded agouti could have the steel genes and look like a shaded steel. But with the parents both selfs (Dixon=smoke pearl=aa, Moppet=black=aa), you shouldn't have the possibility of getting agouti genes, so the steel shouldn't show. Are you actually seeing bands/tipping? Hopefully that one 'settles down' to just broken smoke pearl. Could also be a blue seal (aaB-chlchldd--) -- they can have a 'sepia cast' which could be mistaken for gold tipping.

Actually Smoke Pearl Steel is a listed color in the Mini lop color guide in the ARBA SOP. It reads Steel- (Gold or silver tipping) (Black, Blue, Chocolate, Lilac, Sable, or Smoke Pearl basic color). So I am not sure if it is a Gold or silver tipped but I am thinking its a silver tipped Smoke Pearl steel. He seems to have ticking and is a bit of a different color then the other one. Let me try to get a picture.

oh the "seal" it might just be a broken black. I am just not sure. I looked at its eyes and they look blue grey but maybe that is only because its only two weeks old? Ill have to get pictures of it as well.
Here are the smoke Pearl and the Smoke pearl steel

Smoke pearl to the left Smoke pearl steel to the right. The steel looks a bit browner and almost looks greasy( its not I think its the way the ticking shows through at this age). The Smoke pearl seems a bit blurry in all the pictures I think its just the way the grey is.

The broken smoke pearl is smaller and finer boned then the others. I am a bit worried about him ( I think its a buck)

Other then being cute! Did we learn anything about their genetics?
