Well I bred two of does 10 days ago from today. I was able to palpate one of them (holland lop named Sabrina) and I think I felt 1 kit but not sure if it was her kidney? It was firm like it should be (I've palpated before and was right on but I've also missed to!) and it rolled freely between my fingers about the size of a large grape/marble. I'm a little hesitant if it was her kidney, how do you know? My other doe Zoe, is being a bugger and has a hard time relaxing for me to feel, I "think" I felt something but she doesn't like me feeling around. I won't test breed them as I had a doe who would breed even when she was pregnant! I'm going to palpate again on day 12-14 to see if what I felt in Sabrina grows in size. I have palpated before and was right so I know pretty much what to look for, only question is it being a kidney or something LOL. Is it true pregnant rabbit's vents turn a pale/white pink? Edit: I finally got my other doe Zoe to relax enough for me to give a really good feel of (she tends to only relax when she's in the house, spoiled bunny!). I felt a free floating grape/marble sized round mass, firm but not hard, larger than poop, that would slide between my fingers! It's the same mas I felt in my other doe Sabrina. I'll check again on day 12 (Saturday) and day 14 (monday) to see if those masses (hopefully kits!) grow in size. So far I can only feel one in each of them.
