I had posted a few weeks ago about having trouble breeding a doe. She just wasn't lifting her back end for the buck. Thanks to 'Disney'(sorry, I can't remember your name), who posted a video, I was able to breed her. She gave birth to 1. And it was dead. But it did have a big head. I figured it was her 1st litter and some does just dont know what to do. I figured in a couple of weeks, I would rebreed her. Then, 6 days later, there were 2 more dead kits. These 2 were a bit smaller than the 1st one born 6 days earlier. Has anyone had this happen before? And did your doe recover and have a 2nd litter with no problems? Thanks. |

Hi, A breeder i know had this happen too but i believe she had live kits, very unusual. How many times did you breed them in what timespan was between each breeding? I'm sorry you lost all kits, i hope you get a healthy and lively litter from the next. |

Hi Dove, what breed is she? I keep Netherland dwarf rabbits and have had some issues recently with the peanut factor. One doe gave birth to a dead peanut and two days later to two healthy kits. |

OK just thinking out loud! If my does can produce a second litter almost as soon as the first is four weeks old or so because of the shape of the uterus being able to carry kits of different ages, can we have the two sets developing more or less at the same time....say with a six day head start for one set? |
