Overfeeding can be bad? My poor babies must be miserable, then. :P My mommas are quite enthusiastic about their job.

I saw pics of overfed kits, poor babies. Could have digestive problems or even problems growing because they can't really move their legs because the big belly is in the way. I've read where some who have "enthusiastic feeders" have to take the kits out and only put them in with Mom once a day because of the overfeeding.

Luna fed her babies twice a day. At first, it worried me because we never saw her do it, but as the babies go bigger, Luna allowed us to see how she fed the babies. And once the babies got mobile, well it was funny watching them follow her around to feed. She would do it when SHE was ready. Amazing to watch Mom correct babies.

I haven't updated in a while, I lost the litter on Friday night they were doing fine no squeeking vary warm then Saturday when I woke up they had bloated and were dead what am I doing wrong ??? I'm not over feeding them they were only eating about 1to 2 ml per bunny per feeding and I know they were using the bathroom because I found a lot of bunny poo onion the nest and it wasn't dirrea, in the recipe that I'm using it has milk ( I used goats milk ) 3 egg yolks 1 1/4 Tbsp corn syrup and some mineral drops. I just don't know what went wrong with them, thanks for all the help you've all given .

Its bad enough hand feeding orphans to a successful outcome, but with this heat, that adds to the problems.

So sorry you lost the litter. Looks like you did everything you were able to do.
