My doe did this. It was her first litter and she delayed it with 2 days.. she looked confused. Then when i checked her in the morning, i found the kits in 3 different places. 2 in the bottom left corner, 2 in the middle and 2 in the right above corner. 1 in the middle was dead and the other ice cold. She had pulled little fur so all kits were cold, i took them inside and put them in my blanket which i folded to cover them and keep the warmth inside, the coldest kit i put under my shirt against my belly/breast as he was ice cold. he was fine a half hour later, put them all together back in the cage in the above right corner. i made a huge nest from straw and she raised them well after that. |
