Very exciting, I hope it goes well! How many babies do Dutch generally have? When I hear of them in my area it's usually quite a few but I was curious if that was the norm. |

I couldn't help myself, lol. Looked it up. Average litter is 5, but there are does that have 9 or even 11. Wishing you all the luck with your first timers. |

Bronwen had four kits on the wire and by the time I got home, they were dead, sadly. Deja kindled while I was feeding and watering yesterday, she had five black kits, three are potentially showable, two have obvious elbow drags, pics coming soon. I rebred Malibu, as she didn't feel pregnant, she lifted, Chai feels pregnant and is due on the 7th, fingers crossed. And one more litter due on the 10th. |

My condolences on your loss of Bronwen's kits. Hopefully the next time she'll have them in a nestbox. Sorry if you already stated, but is this her first litter? Though this was a sad outcome, you know she can produce a litter. Congratulations on Deja's litter, with three potentials. BTW, what is elbow drags? Fingers crossed for Malibu and Chai. Also the doe due on the 10th. |
