Other than breeding rabbits that appear to have natural immunty to disease, what else is everyone doing ? I am very interested in what others are doing and hope to incorporate it into my little herd.
We do have good ventilation. Is anyone using herbs or special feed?
Thanks in advance

Breeding for strong rabbits, keeping things clean, a the best ventilation I can manage. :) I sometimes run the dehumidifier and air purifier.

Will be breeding for strong immunity, but also trying this with my "companion" rabbits and will be giving this to my "show rabbits".

As I'm going to be housing my "show rabbits" in my basement, ventilation will be assessed for the best for my rabbits.

For me, the biggest challenge is damp stale air especially if the temperature is up. Cold and dry is great. Fresh air flow keeping the dust out plus light I reckon. Buns need to see each other too.

I do get a but worried Z about greens from the garden, clipped grass etc because of intestinal parasites so I'm careful not to pull up dirt with it.

I've read about dried herbs etc but think growing your own would be better.

Basement is considered because it's dry and cool down there year round. My husband has it all in his head about the circulation of air, plus are of the same mindset, rabbits do need to see each other. Mental stimulation also another "key" to rabbit's good health.

Our dirt's treated with DE, but the Z-Tribe only get's clipped grass when they are outside and "clip it" themselves. I do grow wheat grass inside and know it's being grown in "parasite" free dirt. Also will be doing that with certain herbs too.

With lots of rabbits and kits, healthy environment, as well as healthy diet is a must. Got to make the right decisions for your herd.
