Just a little update:

After all was over, my husband call the Animal Hospital to talk to the Director. Just to let them know what occurred. Kept my husband on hold for 20 minutes. The Director never came to the phone after my husband was told that she was standing right there.

COWARDS!

Allowing incompetent Vets to get away with murder. And that's what it was. No one can tell me differently. And now I know there are NO Rabbit Savvy Vets. We will deal with everything on our own. With a very good contact.

Sometimes I wonder about people...

I agree with dealing with issues yourselves. I have been doing this for a while now and although I can't possibly help with everything, I do believe that I am educated on rabbit far better than the local vets are. If I don't know what to do, in most cases I can make a forum post and a few Google searches to find a solution.

I'm still so sorry that this happened but I'm glad that it won't again.

This last experience makes me feel I know more than most Vets around here. And I haven't had rabbits as long as some.

I have more faith in posting here, reading other forums or just searching than actually going to a Vet. So that's what we have decided. I know, like you stated, I can't possibly help with everything, but know I will take all possible avenues to do what's truly best for my rabbits.

Losing Fawkes, who was an absolutely loving, amazing animal, still hurts big time. I will never allow what that incompetent Vet did to any of my rabbits. Hard lesson learned.
