In view of the unenthusiastic feedback re Mulholland Drive, I haven't got round to watching that yet, but Mrs Tickle and I did watch "Room" on Saturday night. It's a bit bizarre, but quite effective and affecting.

The novel written by Emma Donoghue, who was nominated for an academy award for her adapted screenplay, is better in spite of the Oscar-winning performance of the mother played by Brie Larson and the critically acclaimed performance of 10 year old Canadian actor Jacob Tremblay as her son. Emma's teaming up with Monumental Pictures to make a feature adaption of her eighth novel, Frog Music, a NY Times bestseller which is sitting on my bedside table in the 'to read pile'...set in the summer of 1876 in San Francisco in the grip of a record-breaking heatwave, with a smallpox epidemic spreading through city, along with festering racism and fear!! Can't wait ...sounds fun eh! 😱
