Jim Dickinson once said that the best songs don't get recorded and the best records don't get played on the radio.

Flag up good stuff that people may not be aware of. My wife is a fan of Cousteau

Watching the band 'Hurts' at T in the Park on TV - anthemic stuff. Who the hell are they and why do I feel like I know all the songs?

I guess I must know Hurts because their stuff is used by Sky and Sky sports in their ads and such.

I saw this band supporting Roxy Music on an early tour (Stranded, I think). Andy Fraser (ex Free), Chris Spedding (session guitarist who has played with everyone), Snips on vocals and Marty Simon on drums. The first album (the only one with the original lineup), is being re-released 12 September (dunno what happened to my vinyl :( ). A great live act and a good first album. Unfortunately, 'Snakes and swallowtails' isn't available ('If the snakes don't getcha the swallowtails will') but 'World park junkies' is a good track.
