Is anybody interested in cuneiform writing or script which is one of the earliest forms of written expression? A friend of mine, who lives on a volcanic island in the Atlantic, is passionate about the early texts; as an almost full time hobby now that he turned his beloved bird avery compound into a small workshop/museum, where he makes amongst other things these delightful cuneiform tablets. Last year, on his behalf, I took them to the BM and also to the Ashmolean in Oxford and they bought them for sale as replicas in their shop....

The first two photos are from my own collection, one plain and one has an antique amber fossil with a tiny insect in it which cannot be seen in the photo; the group photo was taken at the Ashmolean after they decided to purchase them....

I would love to hear about your friend who makes cuneiform tablets. I deal in interactive ancient history products and would like more information about what he has.
