The appliance of computer science! Find an image on line (Google images is good), and then copy its URL. You can also post your own images to on-line storage, which will give it a URL. Paste this URL in using 'Image' when composing your post, et voila.

Always worth ‘previewing’ it before embarrassing yourself in front of the whole world (well the twenty or so of us who read these MBs)

Where is Caissier? There has been a long(ish) pause since anybody heard from Caissier. :-/

Now here’s an interesting fact. When a smiley (or emotican if you prefer that yucky word) changes at ‘smiley central’, it alters all of them across the entire message board.

I have just been looking through old postings, like you do, ah….happy days. And lo, what was a simple small golden ’star’ when I first posted it has turned into one of the mega all-singing and flashing new Christmas 2011 smileys. Presumably its code was <"star"> and only the image has changed on the Zetaboard server for these boards. thus .... <star>

Ooh - the comptroller general could have such fun turning all our smiley images into weird ones.

<pres> <star> <pres> <star> <pres> <star> <pres>

There were three things all called '<star>'. The twinkly Christmas one, the standard one with the face and the 'shooting star'/comet thingy. Now the Christmas one has gone, the coment seems to be the default.

<star> Christmas 2012: Before we round off the year can we have some festive smileys again Caissier? As they are seasonal perhaps they should be 'taken down' as with our own decorations on the night of the twelfth day of Christmas, 5th January 2013 ....I personally would love a Christmas tree and some miseltoe!

p.s. can we also have a bicycle smiley? I know we've got a scooter, but bikes are trending right now!

I was thinking to get them out about two weeks before Christmas ...... ??

Bike smiley ..... will look <ok>

Christmas starts in shops all over the UK as early as October or even sooner in the west end..far too early! but hey! that's commercialism for you!

That's fine Caissier - what about 6th December the date of the Norwegian Christmas tree lighting up ceremony in Trafalgar Square (which has happened every year since 1947) - makes me feel that the countdown has really started!!!

Recycling the Tree: The Christmas tree, usually a Norwegian Spruce (Picea abies) remains in Trafalgar Square until just before the Twelfth Night of Christmas, when it is taken down for recycling. The tree is chipped and composted, to make mulch.

Question: Where does the mulch end up? ....any ideas?

You Go FFW! <rose>

Magic Bus was founded by an English man - Matthew Spacie and empowers children in physical, social and personal life skills through sport and games. <ok> FFW is a She! <rose> but thanks becks! Actually she was on the box last week - don't know if you saw the BBC4 film on Dorothy Hartley presented by Dr Lucy Wolsey - see the Heinz Tomato soup thread.... ...who visited her house which was once owned by DH - they cooked a pig's head in her kitchen to make brawn, so India must present a different challenge! Judging from her blog, she's doing really well and has posted up some great photo's of normal daily life along her journey...I want to put a couple here when I've selected the best....

That's the old hotel which was the focus of terrorist bombings a few years ago.

There is quite abit of the legacy left over from the Raj in mumbai. I quite like the VT train station and that has now been renamed into something i can't even remeber or pronounce and will always know it as Victoria Terminus Station or VT station. I wonder if Boris wants to become major of Mumbai? it will keep him out of mischief from here. lol
