An enjoyable listen with Mr Cohen showing he is a 'Laughin' Lenny' after all :)

"Music to slash your wrists by?" However his version(s) of 'Hallelujah' remain as one of my all time greats.

I've been listening to laughing Lenny for over 40 years - not all the time, I hasten to add - and haven't slashed my wrists yet. I saw him in concert once, in the mid-seventies, and it was fantastic. For a guy who can't sing he puts on quite a show.

What did you think of his latest offering, becky?

There are people for whom the rules can be relaxed. As a rule, singers shoud be able to sing and LC is not a great singer. Being a 'stylist' works for a few, but only a few people. If he didn't write his own stuff then he would be pretty rubbish. However, for the 'singer-songwriter', when the songs are good, there is a special kind of magic and he has been doing this for some time, so he has honed his craft, individual as it may be. Good for Lenny <ok>
