One of the more stimulating posters on the BBC boards was 'Suzeemoon'. They posted a few comments on their own board saying: " by suzeemoon @ Thursday, 07. Jul, 2011 – 16:32:02 A board that was set up on the demise of the BBC boards has disappeared while my back was turned. I'm not sure if the Round Britain Quiz/RBQ gang managed to find a new home before the board was scuppered, but if so and anyone passing, please let me know where to find you! The real RBQ is a Radio 4 quiz: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007qxpr The Radio 4 messageboard version was commplicated, fun and chatty and ceased at closure of boards. Stalwarts were RC, Tickle and the gang: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbradio4/NF2766775?thread=8103835 RIP, RBQ if there isn't a phoenix-like resurrection." [source: http://suzeemoon.blog.co.uk/page/2/ ] He/She has not posted since June last year. A shame |

I think you'll find that the delightful suzee was posting here up until last October and visited as recently as last December. She was doubtless checking for signs of life on the Mornington Crescent RBQ thread, which died in September as no-one here was interested in joining in. RBQ was the jewel in the crown of the BBC MC board and regularly attracted far more posts in a day than this entire board does and ever has done. If you followed the comment thread on suzee's blog you will have seen her remark that she had "not visited [this board] for ages as RBQ seemed to have died a death". RCWhiting departed for similar reasons. |

I had the impression that RBQ was partly hosted by R C Whiting, also lamented, . It's a pity he and Suzee are not around. I remember Quite decu 2 from the Old Board, who lived in south east France and who mentioned having a heart attack, then, a while later, stoped posting. People do move on for various reasons. |

I note via facebook there is a Suzee Moon who writes erotica, and has a blogsite. http://suzeemoon.blog.co.uk/ I would guess it's the same person, but I'm not sure how far one wants to go to cajole SM back to the fold....# ...I suppose one could say we miss you very much.

suzieemoon does have a webpage/blogsite ...and I have put messages on it with her permission to help our cause when Hyper was arsing around before the ultimate demise of his forum....she looked in here on 16th December last! She certainly liked playing RBQ on both forums, maybe nowadays we're just not racy enough for her though! .... I could be mistaken!

I never found her postings particularly racy (granted the spanking web-site is a different matter), but looking at the members list I note Suzeemoon had 213 postings before ending in December 2011. I guess she has already voted with her fingers Oh, btw, I've only just noted a certain member no longer exists on the listings. Caissier's 'Tis now' was superbly understated [ Oooh - Click me! ] __________________________ |

Yes .... hard to know what was going on with emailheaven but he seems to have lots of other calling places so it seemed a good idea to finalise it. |

I can't understand twitter. Is it the case that you only get half of the conversations? There are replys but I can't see to what messages. I can't see much point to it. Can anybody explain the appeal. Mapheaven's tweets are funny but in a bewildering sad way. He's giving his opinions out of random things about which it's hard to think anybody would respond or be interested. |

Re. Twitter - I fear you are trying to look too hard. The modern style is to blab away regardless. It is global, it works, it connects people at a very basic level. Probably best to take it at face value. Oh, it is fast too with a massive crowd consciousness, so good for hearing news first hand. Remember the ’Occupy’ and Arab protests? Largely mobilized via Twitter and Farceache. It has improved its functionality this year by enabling image attachment and ‘conversations’ to be followed more easily. Re. Our erstwhile (ex-)colleague. If you think his/her tweets are bewildering have a quick look at the discussions on the new Zetaboard it links to. Two characters sending messages only a few seconds apart It really is quite funny, or bewilderingly sad There really is nothing new under the sun |

Apparently the social network revolutions had the big drawback of enabling the Iranian authorities to track down and imprison a lot of the senders ....

I'm glad I am not alone, regarding twitter. I'm really not sure where one starts. All I see is a certain amount of machine-code gobbledygook, folllowed by....er....human gobbledygook. And similarly, I have never been sure what any particular message actually refers to. It's like a mass stream-of-(sub) consciousness. Seemingly the apparent limitations of the amount you can utter, is near-equivalent to the amount most new--age trendy people can think in one single effort without their brain caving in. |

Ah! ..... so you are the real Ed Reardon, Hugh! I claim my £5. (it was the head caving in which gave it away). |

Fair comment Caissier and HMJ. But it does work. Millions of people use it so there must be some point to them (they can't all be leading pointless lives - surely )I suspect it will evolve and look increasingly like other social networks. The main point is the massive usage currently which the cleverest system will never attract |

Twitter also gives some good one-liners (well at 140 characters what do you expect? Two lines?! "I'm gonna cyber punch some people in their cyber mouth if I hear anymore..." |
