Wot, no Les Patterson tribute; and yer man the Australian culture wallah! Joking just... I was genuinely saddened to hear about the death of Robert Hughes. As a precocious, pretentious teenager, I was bowled over by "The Shock Of The New". In London in the 80s, my flat mate was at St Martins when Hughes came in to give a talk one day. This groupie couldn't get anywhere near him... on account of all the other groupies. One of the Good Guys. |

Yes, an important figure in demystifying 'modern art'. Unfortunately, I think it all went to his head a bit and he came to believe that his was the only opinion worthy of consideration.
