Wot, no Les Patterson tribute; and yer man the Australian culture wallah!
Joking just...

I was genuinely saddened to hear about the death of Robert Hughes.
As a precocious, pretentious teenager, I was bowled over by "The Shock Of The New".

In London in the 80s, my flat mate was at St Martins when Hughes came in to give a talk one day.
This groupie couldn't get anywhere near him... on account of all the other groupies.

One of the Good Guys.

Yes, an important figure in demystifying 'modern art'. Unfortunately, I think it all went to his head a bit and he came to believe that his was the only opinion worthy of consideration.
