http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20541136 Interesting result in rotherham with UKIP second but this is probably related to the fostering decision. The government (tory) coming in 5th. worrying of BNP coming 3rd but also needs to be taken into context with EDL which was 6th. Respect also taking 8.3 % of votes 1.Sarah Champion (Labour) 9,866 (46.25%, +1.62%) 2.Jane Collins (UKIP) 4,648 (21.79%, +15.87%) 3.Marlene Guest (BNP) 1,804 (8.46%, -1.96%) 4.Yvonne Ridley (Respect) 1,778 (8.34%) 5.Simon Wilson (Conservative) 1,157 (5.42%, -11.32%) 6.David Wildgoose (English Democrat) 703 (3.30%) 7.Simon Copley (Independent) 582 (2.73%, -3.58%) 8.Michael Beckett (Liberal Democrat) 451 (2.11%, -13.87%) 9.Ralph Dyson (TUSC) 261 (1.22%) 10.Paul Dickson (Independent) 51 (0.24%) 11.Clint Bristow (Independent) 29 (0.14%) Labour majority 5,218 (24.46%) 7.13% swing Labour to UKIP Turnout: 21,330 (33.63%, -25.37%) |

Rotherham is where william haigh was born as well but then that's the only notable thing about rotherham so doesn't surprise me that turnout is low on this thread. lol Surprised he become a tory as traditionally rotherham is a quite a strong vote for labour. |
