<XMAS1> I'm not sure what internet access I will have over Christmas, so I would just like to say a very gyhu7iolp; to everyone on here and to thank you for making this such a good-natured board. A special thanks to Caissier for setting it up and keeping it going 54rfy6h9ioop

A couple of reasons I haven't been around lately.... I've been indisposed with a viral infection for the last week or so and then when I logged on, when I felt a little better, it was to find my internet access was down ....my internet provider say it might not be fully right until the 31st of December with bits inbetween when it might be working so I'm taking this opportunity whilst it's working to wish all fellow Radio4Forumers...(think I've just made a word up there) a very gyhu7iolp; ...hope everyone has a lovely time!

Thank you to caissier for looking after us all so well

Merry Chrstmas to all <XMAS1>

We've just had the chimney on fire (REALLY)so that's needing sorting this morning....If I find the remains of a red coat and boots you'll know why your presents haven't arrived... u75r67r67iryiguho

<XMAS1>RFTGKILO Just what you need on Christmas Day mads! A good chimney sweep is hard to find - isn't that a song? it should be! ...it'll be worth the effort to have a real fire blazing away.....I've got mine going at the moment - it looks and feels very real but of course it's not - coal fires banned in central London! <fp>

rdftgyh90ioklopuiyt to everyone!...Hope Santa fulfilled your every wish...or at least one! u75r67r67iryiguho Shortly off to Chiswick but have a few calls to make...really feel like staying home but Hey Ho!..... WERTGYHUJKILO;P'

I think 'bumpy' is an understatement. It's not a rolling-pin to smooth them over that is required, but 26 tons of hardcore and a road-roller....

Just finished - a good In Our Time about culture, with lots of ideas, too short as usual, imo, and lots of discussion of Matthew Arnold and a concept of Sweetness and Light ..... which sounds like the best thing to aim for in life ............. and a realistic target :) ........

so ....... I think it would be a good idea for New Year's Eve to wish for everyone, all the good people, who join in this forum and those mysterious 'guests' who apparently flit in and out, sweetness and light.
