Happy Birthday, Mobs! Is Djokovic a friend of yours? He seems to have served up something special for your birthday. |

Gee Thanks Guys ...& Gal! Some very kind wishes... Having a 3-day film fest in celebration - started yesterday with lunch in one of the best places to eat Syrian cuisine in the capital, followed by a trip to the movies to see Tarantino's Django Unchained; today a french-themed lunch followed by a trip to the Mayfair Curzon, where we took our glasses of wine in to see Les Miserables - we did a fair amount of crying out of respect! Just had (late) afternoon tea in Fortnum's...tonight is being spent at home with Friends, Booze and Babette's Feast... (hubby's away in Doha ha ha!)...and then tomorrow, hopefully it'll be Manet in the morning followed by a latish burger lunch at Byron's before going to see Spielberg's Lincoln.... heaven!

Best wishes to you, Mobson, and to your daughter, w4at. I would like to have more life ahead of me, but not necessarily a 17-year-old's life. All those worries over young men and how you look and act, it's only fun in an odd way. Though still being able to drink and dance the night away might be useful (though I'd need a different husband for that), and having fewer aches and pains. |

Thanks Rum! I knew you were travelling to Fife - so I in turn wish you a Happy Burns Night tonight - it's too early for me to be clever and wish it to you in broad scots but hope you and Mrs R have a grand time; here's John Gordon Sinclair and Liz Lochhead readings of Address to a Haggis.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/robertburns/works/address_to_a_haggis/ Edited by Mobson, Jan 25 2013, 09:37 AM.
