Europe in crisis, could it happen here? Anyone with over a million would be exempt under this government, I think.

Statement awaited by Greg Clark, Financial Secretary, in the afternoon session in the H of C, no doubt discussing the concerns of the National Forces serving there and retired Pensioners...

When financial experts are asked 'can this happen elsewhere, i.e. Britain, they reply 'probably not' but then they add they didn't see it happening in Cyprus...

The bail out is seven and half billion Euros - the European Union will rue the day they did not agree to this, reasoning against it was probably that Russian Oligarchs filter 'black' money through Cyprus....bolstering up Cyprus finances was the reason Cyprus could help Greece out financially, a country in no position to reciprocate......this way, this action will send warning lights and shudders throughout many Euro countries.

I have a friend with family in Cyprus so he's worried for them. It feels as though the Carousel is nearly coming off its axis ....... ominous.

It seems crazy that financial affairs could have come to this state.

Yet another example of how the 'banks' can screw up the world....There should have been separation of deposit and 'gambling' sectors immediately after the original collapse; the problem is that they 'own' governments.
