Ultima was growing quite tired as he ventured through the desert, he couldn't find anything but sand, sand, and oh look, more sand! "If I don't find this base soon so help me what these humans call 'God'." he said as he looks around, but all he could see was the hills of sand being slowly eroded by the gusts of wind which would occur at random intervals. Then suddenly the wind picked up, even if only slightly, Ultima's eyes could still detect it, and when he turned to the left, all he could see was this enormous wall of sand making its way towards him "A. . .Sandstorm!?" he said, with a shocked expression although his tone had remained the same. He turned abruptly, trying to escape the sandstorms clutches, but the sand merely pulled him in with every step he took as more and more was dragged into what many call a natural occurence in the desert.

"No! This is ridiculous! I won't let a sandstorm get in my way!" he said, as he found it best to turn his systems to sleep mode to conserve energy, all he saw in a few moments was his visions blacking out, nothing. For what seemed like seconds to him, but was realy hours, he heard voices, voices of children, then an adult, no two, where was he? His eyes started to open slowly, as a small group of people had surrounded him, he stood up shocked, immediately entering battle position as he took a short glare at everyone around him. The children merely laughed, saying something in some odd language "W..What?" Ultima began to analyze the speaking of everyone around him, his translator being able to make it seem like they were speaking in english, and translate the words he input to be spoken into their language.

"Don't worry, we're not here to fight." they had said, "We found you buried in the sand after a sandstorm caused by the golem." "The golem?" he replied quickly, with a now questioning expression as he lowered his guard on the children, now seeing them as no threat. "Well, we don't realy know what the golem is, but our village chief knows! Come on! we'll show you!" they said, quickly grabbing Ultima by his legs and dragging him. "Wait wha-" before he knew it he was on the ground, being dragged by the group of children to an unbelievably large hut. Before they could enter the hut however, they were greeted by a tall, built man, about 7 and 1/2 foot tall, he towered over Ultima "Who is the man?" the being who emerged from the hut had asked the children almost immediately, giving Ultima only a short look. "He was a man we found caught in a golem sandstorm, he survived somehow!" the children had replied to the man, where at that instant Ultima had noticed the several scars across his body, likely from battles with some sort of large beast considering their size.

"I see." the man seemed to understand exactly what was going on, "You want to know what the golem is?" the man asked, to which Ultima only nodded "Yes, I would appreciate it if you could tell me what this 'golem' is, perhaps I could help you.". The tall young man said nothing, only stared seriously at Ultima for a few moments, to which Ultima did the same thing ". . . Whats with the staring?" "I'm wondering how you survived the sandstorm, could you possibly be a servant of the golem?" he asked Ultima, trying to maintain eye contact with him as his expression turned cautious like Ultima was about to attack him. "A servant of the golem? I don't even know what the golem is much less if i'm a servant of it!" he said, raising his voice to put emphasis on the end of his statement. "I see. Please, come into my hut, I'm sure your thirsty or perhaps hungry from your travels in our land." He said, welcoming Ultima inside, to which Ultima entered, finding it rude to decline such an offer from what seemed to be the chief of this village.

Ultima, as he entered the hut, saw that there were many things which put it apart from the other huts in the village, this man seemed to have people catering to him, and there was a large fire in the middle of the hut with many people sitting around it. They were meditating quietly and peacefuly and Ultima had decided not to disturb them. As the two went deeper and deeper into the hut, Ultima was starting to get confused "How big IS this thing?" he asked, until they noticed that they were descending underground as they came across a staircase which headed to a door. "Our village chief is here, praying to the God of the Earth to send us help against the golem." the man had said, obviously Ultima realized this man was not the village elder, he must of been some kind of high-ranking warrior.

Ultima took his steps slowly and carefuly, the staircase seemed quite old, and he didn't know if it would break under his weight: after all, he was made of metal and they weren't. Luckily, he managed to arrive at the door, tapping it so that it opened slightly as it did not have a doorknob "Ah, Raiza, come in, please." Ultima was confused as he didn't know who Raiza was, but decided to take his first step into the room "Just so you know, I am not Raiza, I was sent down here to obtain knowledge about the golem." Ultima said, as to not shock the man if he had taken a glance at him and realized the truth. "Oh, I see. The Earth God, Chaka, has informed of a man like you coming here, asking for information on the golem, he said you were short, about five foot, green eyes, and black hair." an anime-like sweatdrop appeared over Ultima's head "Sorry to tell your 'Earth God' but thats not even close." he said, with an expression on his face that was completely priceless.

"Ah I see, well, I was only testing you! The Earth God said you'd be different from that appearance." he said, as Ultima just comically fell over in the background, twitching "You've gotta be kidding me!", that was the only thought which passed Ultima's mind at that moment. "Anyway, about the golem." Ultima said as he got back up to his own two feet, dusting himself off as he left litteraly an imprint of himself on the weak ground from his weight. "Ah yes, the golem. The golem has is quite a new occurence, its been around for only about eighty years, back when I was a young man." "Eighty!? How old are you?" Ultima had asked, "I am one-hundred three, the Earth God has chosen me to carry the gift of long life." Ultima merely became annoyed, since it doesn't make sense that a man who was living in the desert would live to be fourty, much less one-hundred three. "Are you sure you didn't just lose track on time, old man?" Ultima said, chuckling slightly at the end of his sentence. "No, now then. . . The golem is a deity of the sands, We believe that it was created by the unknown civilization that came here not too long ago, but almost instantly after the golems appearance."

Ultima was officialy interested in this creature they called the golem due to the civilization mentioned by the tribute chief, is it possible this 'civilization' was the scientists he was looking for? Perhaps the golem is this 'base' they used to store the information, but that would make it a living fortress which is quite ridiculous, or so Ultima thought. Suddenly sand started to fall from the roof in short intervals of four to five seconds "What is that. . ." Ultima turned to the village chief which seemed to not even know what was happening above "What is what?" the chief replied, as it seemed that only Ultima could detect that something was coming due to his enchanced senses "Its the golem, I reccomend you prepare the village." he said, as he runs out of the door, the chief seemed suprised, as no one has alerted him of the golem coming, yet Ultima realized it in an instant as his eyes began to glow far brighter. He emerged in the surface and out of the hut, only to see the exact same vision as last time, an enormous wall of sand was bellowing towards the village, threatening to wipe it off the face of the earth.

As he exited the hut, the outside was nothing but complete chaos, the warriors were preparing for the fight of their lives, the mothers of the children were looking for their children in a state of shock as the wall of sand came closer and closer, Ultima's systems prepared for a war. His muscles bulged, the nanomachines which compromised his right arm moved wildly from the flow of energy, scanners online noted that his powerlevel rose from about five-hundred to almost nineteen thousand. The sand, being of such light-weight began to swirl wildly around him from the gusts of wind that were created naturaly from the sudden increase in his power. "Its time to fight!" he said, dashing towards the sandstorm, the desert's sand parting as he ran over it from the sudden increase in speed "Water Cannon, Fire!" he yelled, as he pointed his left hand towards the sandstorm, sending a clean wave of pressurized water to effeciently 'cut the sandstorm in half' in a horizontal manner, or so it seemed.

Obviously something got hit as his enchanced hearing heard the water clashing with something that obviously wasn't sand, it was some sort of powerful metal, and there was a lot of it as he heard a roar emerge from the sandstorm, obviously directed at Ultima. A large metallic fist seemed to just show itself at the edge of the sandstorm right in Ultima's view, slamming into the ground and sending a wave of sand at Ultima. The villagers watched in awe as the single man, or 'thing' confronted the golem head on, for what they believed to be to defend them, although it was for his own goals of information. Ultima slammed his fist into the ground a second or two after the golem had done so, causing the larger wave of sand caused by the golem to 'bend' around the one caused by Ultima, creating a spectacular pillar of sand before gravity kicked in "You're going to have to do better than that." Ultima stated.

As Ultima traced the location where the fist had landed, along with what seemed to be the movement of this gargantuan and the size, his eyes glowed brightly. A flash of red light appeared, it looked almost like a red star, though in about two seconds it was obvious it wasn't as a beam of solar energy rocketed into the sandstorm, cleaving a pit into the once stable desert sand. The beast was heard getting caught in the trap, and whatever was causing that sandstorm had been jammed in the trap as well, causing the sandstorm to settle down and reveal the golem for what it realy was, a large humanoid mechnical fortress! "Heh, what a find i've stumbled upon." Ultima said as his eyes dimmed out and he took slow, paced steps towards the creature, completely undettered by its appearance and size unlike the villagers who were freaking out in the background.

Ultima's eyes widened, however, because as the golem opened its mouth a very deadly weapon was revealed: some sort of cannon which according to the scans of its parts at that instant seemed to be capable of shooting wave after wave of devastating energy at Ultima, and the village behind him. Ultima merely charged the cannon, discharging the invisible flammable material into the air as he did so to prepare his Pyro Cannon attack. Ultima seemed to be more than capable of closing the distance quickly, as in the range of about seven seconds he had been in front of the beast which was begining to escape the trap and tower above Ultima. Ultima ran up its leg, the beast now wouldn't dare fire at him since it would cost its leg, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't aim at the village. "Oh no you don't!" Ultima yelled, jumping in front of the cannon and getting a good grip on it with his left hand, taking wave after wave of concentrated energy, which after a while did a fairly major amount of damage to his systems, and sent him crashing into the village at high speeds.

Ultima slowly got back up, the villagers surrounding him, worried due to the fact that if he lost now, their village will be doomed "I don't know what information you're hiding in that. . .'thing'. But it obviously has something to do with this village if you're targetting it. As a result, I suppose I have no choice but to protect the village so that I can use whatever information you have." he said, eyeing the golem as he put his left hand out. "What you haven't noticed is-.." His system started to get some static, he was about to shut down as he had wasted a severe ammount of energy on taking all the blows from the cannon stationed in the golems mouth. The system estimated ninety seconds until shutdown "I...Placed flammable material all around your body, mainly in the cannon, in short.. You're about to be blown sky high!" he said, as he put his hand out, the trail of flammable material still there from when he was blow back by the cannon into the village "Take this, PYRO CANNON, FIRE!" as a small burst of flame emerged from an opening in his left hand, sparking a medium-sized trail of flame that led to the golem's face and causing a large explosion which damaged the cannon beyond repair. But it didn't end there, the explosion continued down the golems whole body, damaging most important systems so that the golem will never again be a threat to the village and that information will be easy to extract.

Ultima believed that he still had about a minute to extract the information, but it seemed he had wasted all of that leftover energy on activating the burst of flame for the initation of his Pyro Cannon attack, Ultima merely smirked. "So this is it, never thought it would end like this." he said, as his eyes blacked out and he fell to the floor. He didn't know how long it had been, half a year, maybe a whole year, he just didn't understand how long it had been until his systems booted back on. As he awoke, it seemed he had been put on a bed, confused and suffering amnesia due to how long his systems had been down, he grabbed his cape and exited the hut, only to be surrounding by children. "Its him! We knew he would wake up eventualy, we knew!" the children said happily, jumping around him, Ultima didn't recognize them due to the amnesia, and confused, he ran off, never extracting the information that was stored inside the golem.

It had been months since that fateful day, the memories were slowly coming back to him: He had remmmembered the sandstorm which had taken him to the village, the children which had surrounded him. He was even remmembering traces of his battle with the large mechanical beast they called "The Golem". Its a lot like a human acts after a traumatic experience in which they almost lose their life, they become a bit crazy for a while until they recover completely, I guess thats what you can say happened to Ultima in the timespan of the months in which he left the village and had decided to make his return. He remmembered the one thing, his goal, the thing he wished for: information. The information he had gathered over the years started to flow back, in due time he will realize everything. But for now, its time for some unfinished business with the golem.

When he arrived however, it seemed something had happened. The village was in shambles, and the destruction didn't seem recent, in fact it seemed to have been traced back to a few months ago, a while after he had left the village. His eyes glow a bright blue as he scans the area for evidence, kneeling down and picking up a small piece of metal off the ground "The golem. . ." he said, angered as he crushed what he realized to be a gear in his hand. "Someone must have taken the golem and rebooted its systems, its the only possible explanation as to why its no longer here. . . But if the information in the golem had something to do with the villages people then its useless now." Ultima began to walk around the wreckage, looking for perhaps anyone who survived and escaped, but the gusts of wind seemed to have destroyed all evidence of footprints or anyone even living here for hundreds of years. Everything was gone.

As he walked through the debris, he noticed an item familiar to him, it was long, curved shape, the top of which seemed to be sticking out of the sand: It was his sword, he must of been in such a hurry he forgot to grab it. He kneels down, sticking his hand into the sand and pulling the blade out of it hilt-first as he got back up to his feet simultaneously, continueing to look for evidence, blade at ready in case anyone snuck up on him. All that was running through his mind was to get back at whoever returned the golem to its online state and caused so much chaos, and retrieve the information if it wasn't stolen from the golem in the process. "Pft, seems there are some people you want to defeat, some you want to kill. . .Then there are some you want to stab numerous times, unload a whole chamber of bullets into the persons torso, break every bone in their danm body. And just to be sure, plant a bomb on them and run for cover." he said in what was obviously a VERY annoyed tone, he meant business.

The golem can't just dissapear, it has to leave some kind of trace, and the fact that its parts were so damaged no way it could get that far, Ultima looked up into the sky as his eyes dimmed out, consulting the nearest satellite for a sky view of the desert for any trace of the golem's current location. Lucky for him there was one, a sandstorm was picking up, a big one, similar to the arrival of the golem. It seemed to be 15 kilometers west, 23 kilometers north, or at least, the edge of it, the sandstorm was picking up at an incredibly fast pace, it was starting to become absolutely huge "That's the golem alright." Ultima said. He dashed west, and while he did he wonders why he feels anger, is it possbile for an android to feel emotion? Or is it just in his programming to respond in such a way it seems like hes being emotional? He doesn't know, and he starts to ponder it as he rushes to the west, the sandstorm was heading southbound so he intended to meet it there as to not waste energy.

Ultima arrived at his location, 15 kilometers west of the village where he decided he would meet the sandstorm which he assumed to be being caused by the golem. However, something was off, he saw no sandstorm. "This is strange, how can this b-" suddenly, he realized the sky was getting darkened, and when looked up, a large amount of sand had been 'levitating' above the sky, probably due to some sort of telekinetic ability. He heard footsteps, and when he looked forward, there seemed to be a man in usual-looking armor, chuckling. "I see, so you're the one who destroyed my golem, returning after so long. Like what i've done with the place?" the figure asked. However, this only casued anger to overcome Ultima, suddenly his Power Level had spiked again, going from nineteen thousand to above sixty thousand! What a massive increase in power!

"Thats it you fool, tell me where the golem is or i'll tear you apart!" Ultima angrily said, he couldn't sense the beings power, however, a fact he ignored, perhaps he was an android like him. Ultima however was undettered by the massive disadvantage he was in, for some reason his mainframe said he could still win by outsmarting this man, no. . . This thing. He quickly entered fighting stance, ditching his nodachi for this battle, he was never 'actualy' good at swordplay anyway, he just kept it as a favorite possession to be honest. The being suddenly dissapeared, reappearing in front of Ultima with staggering speed, Ultima's eyes widening as the beings left hand was right against his face.

"Water Cannon. . . Fire."

A huge amount of water suddenly bursted out of the man's hand, which Ultima identified as his left. "Thats. . My move! Who the hell are you!?" He said, getting up slowly and glaring at what was now obviously identified as an android. "I am Ultima. Though I am not like you, I'm what you're supposed to be, what you were meant to be! But no, you left in search of some pitiful thing you call 'information!"! Do you think they've been ignoring you for the past two years NO! They continued the project, and they made me. I'm you, only better, and i'm here to take your place as Ultima." however, all that left Ultima was a chuckle, which advanced to a maddening laugh "You? Become the new Ultima? No offense, but I was here first, no way you're destroying me!" he said, for only the 'copy' to respand aggresively, sending a punch into his stomache, and kick him with such force it sent Ultima flying into a nearby boulder made of hardened sand.

Ultima's eyes blanked out as he took the blow, the ammount of force invested in it was catastrophic to his systems, his vision had static, and he seemed to have lost quite the level of movement in his limbs. He looked up at his soon-to-be-sucessor "Well, you have to know, androids are based on the current technology on the time, the older models always get replaced by newer ones, you were short-lived from the start, just a stepping stone to get to me. Its time that I finish you off." the being said as he steps with an accelerated pace towards Ultima's near-helpless body. Ultima raises his left arm up and points it at the android, only for him to chuckle "You realy think the cannon is gonna work on me? Oh plea-"

"Water Cannon. . . FIRE!"
"Huh!?"

An enormous torrent of water came gushing out of a suddenly small opening in his hand, creating a river of water which sent the android flying, suprisingly. The android got up, only slightly damaged, but he was suprised as to how Ultima had done such a thing "You? Damage me!? How?!" "Simple, isn't it?" he said, smirking as he put his hand on the ground, it finally reached the android what he had done. "I see, so you absorbed the water I discharged, and then used that as extra power for yours, smart . . . But stupid! You're gonna pay for damaging my frame!" he said, suddenly dissapearing, reappearing in front of Ultima and kicking him further into the boulder which he had been lying on for support and creating a small crater.

As the android stood in front of him laughing, Ultima suddenly grabbed him with his right hand, pushing his body onto him, causing him to fall. Ultima flipped over, keeping his right hand on the android's face as it began to glow. "Impossible! But there are no weapons recorded in your right hand!" "Thats because this isn't my actual hand!" suddenly, the nanomachines which took the form of his right arm reacted. They split onto the android, and began to eat away at him, favoring him more than they favored Ultima, due to like he said 'he was the same, only better'. Ultima watched as the android screamed in pain "You! You'll pay for this! There will be someone stronger than me that'll come to hunt you down! I swear to you! You will die! YOU WILL DIE!" those were the androids last words as the nanomachines devoured his vocal systems, and continued to eat away at him for the next ten minutes until there was nothing left.

He then put his right arm, or what was left of it onto the ground, the nanomachines detecting their former home gladly latched back on and took the arm's shape. Ultima stood up as the power the nanomachines had taken from devouring his copies body had merged with his circuits, Ultima felt a massive flow of power as his eyes widened. "What. . . Is this!?" finally, at lost last, Ultima had obtained the perfect circuits, any errors in his system had been corrected by the data of his newer model, which in turn increased his power a fair ammount.
