Alternate title: Celia Versus Emily. We'll have it at a hundred creds. What are creds? Uh... A hundred gold, then. Also an indefinite amount of posts. And we'll do the battle in the Orbital Prison. ...What? What's the Orbital Prison? Well... That's a tough one, actually, even for someone of my intellect. It's a grounded, spherical prison that was - What? You don't want to listen to the backstory? Fine. The battle will take place in a corridor with eerie faces staring at you from the walls. There are some doorways into other corridors, but they all look the exact same: Just scary, crazy-inducing faces that stare back at you from the walls. If you manage to take the right doorways, you'll eventually get into - What? Fine, fine, I'll stop. ![]() ...Did I mention that you might see some ghostly people just standing or sitting or laying there, not moving, just there? And the eyes of the faces sometimes glow in some corridors. And sometimes one of the doorways have some scenery in it. ...Okay, fine, I'll stop. Where the hell is that Emily?! The last orb in this place. Why did it look so similar to this place's first area?... Celia nodded to Erin and Leon before she touched the orb, just like the others in the Orbital Prison's core. "Do you think we'll ever make it back? The end is so far away. And yet, it feels like I could grasp it from here with my own two hands" "Let's go. Together, we'll do it. We'll overcome everything and make our dreams come true. ... Engrave these memories in your mind, that they will last you for the rest of your life. Lightning strike. What was going on?! Celia turned back to Erin and Leon, before they silently started the way they came from. More strikes. The way to the disappeared orb was now inaccessible, as the path was now torn. The party proceeded. More strikes occurred, and the path was torn each time. ...When they made it back to the building, suddenly, Leon and Erin were no where in sight. Both paths away from the building were now torn to pieces. ...And the walls, they were torn too... There were faces on the walls, all staring back. Alarmed, Celia called out, "Leon?! Erin?! Where'd you guys go?!" A few minutes after slight panicking, she decided there wasn't any other way to proceed. She headed into the building... And saw a corridor filled with the faces. Staring back right at her. |

Where was she? Running, endlessly through the corridors, whether for minutes or days, she knew not. Every corner that she turned, it looked as if the past would simply continue forever. She could begin to feel her legs begin to tire, and yet, she could not sit, could not take a rest, because she had the slightest feeling that if she decided to stop for even a moment, something would take her down. Those faces. Everywhere she looked, like the ghosts in nightmares that you can only ever half remember, those faces continued to stare at her. Every corner led to ever more, and every direction she looked, it seemed as if the ghastly faces would continue into the darkness beyond what she could see. How ironic; it was the darkness that she used, and now, it was the darkness that she would have to fear. She could hardly remember how she had arrived in this hellhole... whether she simply couldn't and did not know, or hid it in her mind so deep that she did not want to know, her mind did not dwell on. With a place like the one she was in, there was many things that she did not want to think of it. The girl, Emily Sully Baxter the Third, had long abandoned her disguise. Her hair, not the black that most around her had grown accustomed to, was instead a simple, plain white, fluttering behind her in the wake of her sprint. Her skin, paler than that which she usually wore, in many ways echoed the ghosts of faces she saw around her; the most significant difference were to be her eyes of a harsh red, which, without the veil of darkness that usually surrounded them, only allowed her to see the horrific faces ever more easily. With her hair and eyes in its normal tone, the sweat of fear and terror pouring down her skin, and her forced, almost pained, sprint, Emily Sully Baxter looked, not as the confident young woman she typically appeared to be, but a young girl afraid of the monsters in the dark. Corridors melded into each other, and Emily saw no end. |

"Okay, calm down Celia... Calm down..." She was in a corridor with faces everywhere. The best thing to do was to walk back out... Celia did so. ...Celia emerged in the exact same room she exited. ...Crap. The only other doorway was the one on the left. Slowly, she walked to it, then, taking a deep breath, went in. ...WASN'T THIS THE EXACT SAME ROOM SHE WAS JUST IN?! Wait, there was another doorway to the right. She went through that one. ...The same room. And a third one appeared in the center. Celia repeatedly did this, until the doors were only separated by a single face. Going backwards ended up in the same room she just entered. There was no other way but through the six or seven doors remaining... Well, at least her stuff was still on her - No it wasn't. ...The Personal Device was gone. The stimulates were gone. The energizers, the field effects, the revivants, EVERYTHING she had was gone. ...Celia entered another doorway. She quickly noticed one of the agents from Oberon Tower standing nearby. She jumped back and, lifting both hands, fired a laser at him. ...Or, at least, she tried. Lightning appeared from her hands instead. Lightning? That wasn't what her psychokinesis did... Wait. She did have something where her items used to be. She checked her bag - Yes, there were some books in there. She took them out, and after a few seconds, realized they were magic tomes. Well, what about her lasers!? Frustrated, she reached up to her forehead... ...Where was her hat?... Where was her horn? Okay, this wasn't a time to panic. She calmly walked over to the agent, realizing he hadn't moved. She touched him. ...He disappeared. Without comment, she walked into another doorway, the nearest one. She had a frown on her face as she did so. |

Again. Corridor after corridor, with no exit in sight. Every entrance simply led into a room directly identical to the one that she had just left. The constant, everlasting terror was enough to turn any person to insanity, but Emily simply continued running. Despite the fear that she held in herself, every door she stepped through, she told herself, she was one door closer to the exit. A voice, deep inside her, told her that there was no way that she would escape, that she would be locked into this horrific prison forever... but she never let that voice get to her. She told herself - she knew - that she was near the end, and that she would not - could not - stop. Whether that 'end' was of this dungeon or of herself, she pushed from her mind. It was a while later, on to the entrance - or was it the exit? - of one of the countless corridors that Emily first caught sight of Celia Ru. Immediately, she pushed her away from her mind as one of those pale, terrifying ghosts that it was best to avoid, but whether it was the girl's purple eyes, that stood out so well from the scenery, or the frown that she bore on her face that could be nothing other than human, Emily slowed down to a cautious walk as she approached the girl. Several thoughts echoed through Emily's mind. The first was that it was another girl, just as lost as she was. But... that was impossible. There was no chance that it would be only now that she would find someone. The entrance was on the other side, so there was no way that she'd meet someone here. The second thought was that she was a native of this... whatever it was that she was in. That the girl had the way out, and she'd have to get it out of her. The very last was the one that frightened her the most: that she had been in this place so long that she had turned insane, that she had began to see things and was no worse than the Druids who turned too far into the darkness that they became the darkness itself. If that was real, and she could prove it, she had no idea what she would have to do. And so it was cautiously that Emily moved towards the girl, her hair hanging loosely behind her. When she made her way into a decent distance - close enough to talk and still be polite, yet far enough to prepare an offense or defense should the need arise - Emily asked a single question. "Who are you?" |

Celia stopped when she entered the next room. There was another person in here, only this one was moving... She was coming towards her, slowing when she approached. The other ghostly person didn't do anything, so why was this girl doing so? ...Another thing was, who was she? The other image of the person was someone she had seen before. She vaguely recalled passing others that were ones that she had met before as well... So who was she? ... Was she another one of the inhabitants of the Orbital Prison? The first area's Apocalyptic Log mentioned a little girl in a cell in the center of this area... And, well, this was a little girl. Still, she remembered Trauma. ...Just... Trauma. Whatever he was, he wasn't human. Well, he was human, but he was... mutated. Insane. She was thankful that the lights were out in that area... "Who are you?" ...That was it. She was another person in this area. That was bad news already. There shouldn't have been anyone else in here. They had to go through the No Man's Land in Pallas to get here. And since Pallas was largely deserted already, it was very unlikely that she was from the area. She wasn't wearing the rebellion's clothing, and she definitely wasn't from the Refugee Camp. Celia's frown increased, before saying, "That's my line. You sound nice and all, but I won't be fooled by you!" The Gatekeepers, the Behemoth, Trauma, Shadow Ultima... Every area had something that needed a laser to the head. Celia was sure that this area was no different - Definitely, even, since this was the core of the Orbital Prison. The journal entries were the only things she had going for her. There was a little girl in the cell in the center of the Orbital Prison. This was the center. There was a little girl in front of her. Who knows how long ago the Orbital Prison was in space, but it was now on the surface of this planet. Trauma was once human, he still had a conscious, and he was alive. So was the Behemoth. Who was to say the little girl wasn't as messed up as Trauma, or as dangerous as the Behemoth? There wasn't any need to take risks. Celia raised her hand, backing up. Information on how to use the tomes came into her mind. Other memories as well. A large fireball erupted from her hands, flying straight towards Emily. |

Emily responded as quickly as she possibly could: if she had not anticipated that the girl could be hostile, Emily likely would have been a burnt pile of rubble on the floor by then. As it was, she managed to quickly dodge with a quick slide to her left, while her hair became dark and grew out of the right side of her head, half batting away the fireball's embers and half forming a shield for Emily herself. The barrier was in no way perfect, and Emily could feel a slight pain where several embers had come into contact with her skin, in addition to the immense heat that comes with the power of a flame, but it was nothing in particular that would affect her. "Whoa, girl. I don't mean to hurt you." Emily said, trying to keep her tone as reassuring as she could. While she spoke, her hair grew into the long and flowing, dark colour and style that had been all too familiar. She chose to keep her eyes the colour they were: since she was 'safely' inside a building, at least, her eyes would come to no harm, though she kept a connection ready to turn her eyes to darkness if they needed to. And with the change of her hair, Emily seemed to change in herself. Her posture grew more straight, more assertive, and her head hung high. The terror that she had felt flew from her face into her friendly, confident expression that it typically was, and she began to stare at the girl, both curious and half-afraid inside. Her hand lay beneath her hair, on the back of her neck, and Emily leaned slightly over to the side, looking at the girl, analysing her. She seemed lost herself... perhaps she had already gone mad from being in here too long? She seemed to just have cast a fire spell... which would typically put most Elder Magi such as herself at an intrinsic disadvantage, should this not work as well as she had hoped. It didn't affect her too much, though: the fine style that she used typically gave her a bit of a surprise factor, and allowed her to work through defenses that most Anima Magi would specialise in. It would usually neutralise the disadvantage, if not turn it around completely, if blows came to blows. "I just want to know what this place is." |

There was no mistaking it now. This girl was definitely an inhabitant from this place. Who else had hair that could do that? She was probably one of the experiments that happened in this place, one of the many, horrible experiments that made Trauma like... that. The girl still seemed to have kept trying her ploy to get Celia's guard down, but she wouldn't fall for it. Definitely not. And, most similarly, the girl was changing. Exactly like Trauma. Except where this girl was simply changing her posture, her hair, and her attitude, she wasn't sprouting... out... those branch-like tendrils from her body. Celia adopted her determined look. Even if Leon and Erin weren't here, she'd still be able to hold her own against this girl, right? ...Okay, her stimulates were gone and Erin wasn't around to heal. That was a problem already, since she wasn't exactly... damage-worthy. But she'd be okay! Lasers were gone... No Psychostatis... But it was still okay, right. Okay, then! She already watched the effects of that fire spell she used. The girl seemed to have not flinched at it, so maybe she wasn't weak to Burn damage... Celia remembered her tomes for a second as "Water" "Wind" "Elfire" and "Thunder". Freeze, Force, Burn, and Shock damage, respectively, right? ...Who was she, Silvra? There wasn't anything that would cause Psych type damage. And her special attack was worthless, anyways. Focusing on the battle at hand, she decided that the best option might have been to go look for Leon and Erin after all... But then again, there wasn't any guarantee that they were in the maze she was in. Her best bet would be to try and finish off this area's monster and move on. Thus, Celia didn't respond with words. She instead used the Wind tome as she remembered Silvra had - wind cutting into the target from three sides. ...As she did so, she noticed the Minerva item she was wearing was also gone. Great. |

"Whoa!" Emily exclaimed, evading the attack by ducking, almost flat to the ground, before pushing herself up to a standing position with her left hand. In the same motion, she pulled her right hand away from her hair, and in it lay a small knife, the colour of absolute darkness. Its blade was about as long as Emily's handspan, and more than sharp enough to wound someone with only a slight flick. She held it comfortably behind her, in a reverse grip. The way she presented herself seemed to show - or at least she would hope - that she had no intention of fighting and only built it up for self defence. Emily kept her eyes centered on her foe, and casually ran her left hand through the length of her hair. Moments later, the hand came out as a perfectly black colour, which she clenched and unclenched in front of her. Finally, she resorted to holding the hand defensively in front of her, palm outstretched and ready for another attack if it had to come. "Look, I really don't want to fight. You're the first person I've seen down here!" If the girl came up with another strike, her hand - or her hair - would quite easily be able to deflect the blow. She'd need to take the offencs then and there, if so; she didn't plan on simply standing still when another tried to destroy her. If she had gone insane from too much walking in this place... it was probably the best thing to do, taking her down. That would be what she wanted to be done to her in the same position, at the very least. "Please, stop!" |

"Stop with the dialog, missy!" yelled Celia, quite annoyed now. "I know you're another one of the damned monsters that are roaming around in here!" There wasn't any doubt about it, anyways. Even though Celia couldn't see the aura of the girl, she was positively certain that she was another enemy in the Orbital Prison. How else did that girl use her hair like that? The knife in her hand that appeared from nowhere was also another thing to consider. It definitely wasn't normal, not in this world. She knew that even Tinder wouldn't have been able to do that. Therefore, another experiment. She had to be! The powers weren't even like anyone else's psychokinesis, not even Aila's. And the little girl mentioned in the notes... Definitely this one, right? There was no one else that was here before. Not before she and the others discovered it. There wasn't any way that she could've just wandered in, after all. ...Why was she reaffirming her beliefs over and over again? It was beginning to sound like a bad video game plot. She didn't know what was going on in this girl's head, and there wasn't any point in talking her out of it. The only other human here ended up fighting them - She wouldn't fall for it again. So, in response, she sent a lightning bolt her way. ...Wait... She didn't have enough Exceed for that... So how did that happen? She pushed the thought out of her mind even as she realized her EX Facilitator B was gone. So was her Pulsar mode. |

"Oh come ON!" Not only did the girl try to attack her, but now she thought that she were a monster? I mean really, she she didn't look anything like those undead things or those random horse-people, and, either way, the way this place looked definitely made it seem as if they were pretty far away from Darkling. Unless... Unless they really were in Darkling at the moment, somewhere deep inside the woods, and it was that magic that made her unable to get out? She had never been beyond the fringes, had she? Very few people had, and even less had survived... so who was she to say whether or not something like this had or hadn't been inside those forsaken Woods? That meant there was a whole lot of stuff she should be able to learn here... The distinct feeling of a spell being cast broke Emily from her reverie, with which she responded by shooting her hand forwards and opening it out. From no angle, however, could the entire motion be seen, for when the arm had stretched itself out, so did the darkness in her hand. By the time that the girl's spell had been cast, the darkness inside Emily's hand had parted itself into a concave barrier, while being enforced by the Flux that was being stored inside the young girl's hair. The barrier, while wavering slightly upon its contact with the opposing spell, held, and with a clap of thunder and a flash of light, Emily closing her hand brought the Flux back into herself. In the same motion, the girl moved her body into a sprint, appearing almost as if she had used the energy of the lightning bolt to propel herself forwards. While her small dagger was held ready in her right hand, Emily managed to shoot her hair forward, which, while connected to her, had the intention of grabbing her opponent and lifting her into the air. |

Celia raised an eyebrow in shock when her spell hit a black barrier. Cautious, she started backing up, and with good reason too: the girl had seemingly absorbed the energy somehow and was now running towards her, with hair extending past the norm. Definitely not normal. What experiments were done on this girl so that she had these strange powers? She was pretty sure energy didn't work that way. Regardless, this wasn't the time. Celia continued backing up towards a door way, casting the winds to bat away the hair as much as it could, as well as water to try and soak the hair. In her mind, she thought it might, possibly, dampen it enough to become heavy and, therefore, a liability. ...Of course, she didn't know anything about this hair. Experiments, again. She'd have to put the girl out of her misery on her own. ...Her Syncs were gone as well. She was completely naked, equipment-wise, except for those books that replaced her old "spells." |
