Borook Post 1. The Republican Guard..... required traits.... being badass?....Borook shook his head. He wasn't entirely sure about this, but if he was to become 'badass' or whatever, he needed to get good at combat. He would need to anyway, he was still learning magic, and if he was to protect this world from itself... he would need to train. And a fight in the arena sounded like a good idea. With a tome of ElEarth in his left hand, held open by the spine, he walked slowly into the arena, looking around for his opponent. "My name is Borook Nival, and I hope you will go easy on me, whoever you may be! This is my first combat!" He called out, hoping his opponent would hear, and at least speak back. Still.... he was looking forward to this. Combat wasn't his specialty, history was. But that would change. Soon he will be....badposterior?....No that sounded stupid. He didn't care. He flipped through the tome slightly, before smiling at one of the pages. This would be fun. Fun indeed. He patted the Wind tome on his right side. This would be his backup. He was going to add his own little style to his combat....He wasn't a 'demon child' like his village thought. Hopefully that rumor hadn't spread anywhere.... He started to panic. What if this guy thought he was a demon child and attacked him like a fanatic? He started to worry, sweat and started to check his surroundings. Where was this guy? He was really hoping this person was nice.... |

Krieg Stagem, ON THE AIR! Post 1 A man in a cloak covering his entire body came out from the other side, limping and coughing every now and then. Sometimes he stumbled, and he was more or less unsteady on his feet. There was also a dry, red stain on the front of the cloak. But nonetheless, the man walked forwards, stopping a few yards from his opponent. Of course, he had heard the boy announcing his first time at the arena. That itself didn't seem to stop the man, but he simply continued forwards. Gasping for a bit, he said aloud, "You... my opponent?" |

Borook, Post 2. Borook looked up. "Yeah. Nice to meet you." He said, smiling as he made sure he was ready for combat. His legs felt loose, his arms were fine, his neck.... ached. He shook his head. "Want to get this started?" He asked, no longer smiling. He was still worried. Still, no reason this guy would know, right? |

Krieg Stagem, Post 2 The man sighed, then reached over on the shoulder of his cloak, before throwing it towards the mage. At the same time, a throwing knife fell into his hand while he pulled out his Wind Sword. He threw the knife along with the cloak, blocking the view of the knife. As for the Wind Sword, he used the power it had to push the cloak forwards, so that it continued on its path ahead of the knife. Krieg Stagem stood straight and tall, frowning. He made sure not to eat at that Italian restaurant the next time he had a match right after. |

Borook Post 3. Borook suddenly twitched, with the man suddenly throwing his cloak at him, he responded by invoking the ElEarth tome. A boulder launched up from the ground in front of the cloak, and Borook cowered behind it for a moment. With the dagger embedding itself in his new 'shield', he looked at it for a moment. He moved his hand, and the boulder floated to the left. He moved his hand right, and it floated right. He smiled. He thrust his right arm forward, and the boulder launched itself towards his opponent. "Not much for talking are you? I find it helps calm one down, clear the head. That or isolation in a book littered study. That worked for me." He said, smiling. He was still cowering slightly. He was expecting something else from that sudden strange movement his opponent made, but... oh well. |

Krieg Stagem, Post 3 Krieg was afraid his surprise attack wouldn't work. It didn't. His cloak was now pressed onto a boulder that was conjured from the ground. Elearth, he made a note. And, apparently, someone who's outright controlling it in the air. Oh, it was also flying at him. He jumped over to his left, pulling another knife out and throwing it at the boy. No need to get serious yet. First thing to do was to get him to show all his tricks, then go in for the kill. Talking would have distracted him. |

Borook, Post 4. Borook released his control of the boulder, as it fell to the ground and ceased movement. Now the man was moving and throwing a knife at him. Borook raised an eyebrow as he still didn't speak. This annoyed Borook slightly. Borook decided this time to move, as he started to run to the left, the knife just catching his robes, making him stuck to the ground for a moment. He looked at the knife in his cloak that was now embedded in the ground. He pulled his cloak and heard it rip. He paniced. He liked his cloak! He looked at this man. He didn't like this guy anymore. "FINE! You don't want to be entertaining and make this fight fun, then I'll just end this quick so I don't have to be angry at you anymore!" He yelled, rising his arm into the air, clenching his fist. The rocks around his opponent began to rumble, as a few seconds later, several slabs of rock rised out of the ground to try to encase him in a stone trap. The pages of his ElEarth book flipped as his magic invoked its power. |

Krieg Stagem, Post 4 As the knife pinned the boy to the ground, Krieg immediately grabbed another knife and threw it in his direction, ignoring his chattering. It was too good a chance, and there was no reason the boy had to stay alive. As the knife flew, the stone slabs emerged from the ground. And the book the boy was holding was flapping its own pages. Obviously, the reason why he was able to create such a strong attack was because of the book. With this observation in hand, Krieg started moving as the rock slabs did. He jumped as the rock started moving towards him, while throwing another knife, this time aimed at the book. It would probably have been more efficient to send a wind blast at it, but he didn't want to outright reveal it just yet (The boulder, and the cloak itself, was blocking the view of his sword's magic. |

Borook, Post 5. What in the? Borook's eyes widened as he quickly lowered his hand, and moved it diagonally upward to his left, causing a slab to launch up in front of him. Sadly his reaction was a little slow, and he clipped the knife, causing it to land in his left arm, the pain making him drop his tome. He groaned in pain as he grabbed his Wind Tome and held it open. He started to concentrate, the pages of the tome flapping faster than his ElEarth tome. He raised his left arm, slowly due to the pain and his concentration, and tried to send a vacuum surge at his opponent. He didn't want to kill the guy, just disable him... teach him a lesson. Borook's mind was raddled with panic now. He was getting slower, he was stuck in place, and his opponent was clearly more skilled than he was. He could only pray that he could win, but he didn't believe in any supernatural power. There was a logical explination for everything in this world, and he would figure out everything. |

Krieg Stagem, Post 5 Another tome. Great. As Krieg landed, he identified the book cover as Wind, and, realizing the troubles with Wind tomes, started running in a circumference around the boy while holding his breath. No idea what the guy would do with it, but Krieg was paranoid enough to assume everything. Currently, however, he noted that the air around him had... dispersed? A vacuum? Fun. With little choice, Krieg countered by raising his Wind Sword and countering the vacuum. The air was rushing in just as it rushed out as well. As he did so, he started sprinting towards the boy, drawing his other sword. This didn't allow him to use his knives anymore, but he'd go in for close range combat. The Earth tome had dropped, so any countering would involve the Wind tome. That, he'd counter with his Wind Sword. |
