Borook, Post 6. Borook continued to panic. Now this guy had a magic sword to help him survive?!? Borook was utterly screwed.... unless.. He smiled. This was his last chance, at least, that's what he figured. He used a quick incantation to make his tome of ElEarth to be blown up into the air, as he caught it with his left hand, barely able to do so due to the knife in his upper arm. He let it open as he concentrated hard. This time it was time to bring out his only idea. His last idea... He used his wind tome as well, trying to combine magic as he summoned four boulders, one to each side of him. Each one was being suspended by both the ElEarth and the Wind tomes, as both flipped faster than he could have thought possible. He coughed up some blood, almost having an aneurysm from how hard he was trying to concentrate. Instead he bled a bit into his lungs. The boulders began to spin around him, as he continued concentrating, blood starting to trickle down his nose. If this didn't work, Borook was screwed. All his power was going into this. He had already seen how fast this guy was, but Borook had the elements on his side. He had raw power. He had.... four 5 foot boulders that he was using as a shield as he progressivly launched each one at his enemy, no longer wanting to disable this guy. He would try to reaim after each boulder to ensure he hit his target, but if this guy was to evade each boulder.... Borook knew he had no strength to move. |

Krieg Stagem, Post 6 "Hm," said Krieg, as the boulders appeared. He stopped in his tracks for a bit, watching. Blood was falling from the boy's nose, while the boulders were spinning around him. Well, this wouldn't be pleasant. Krieg dropped his steel blade (Suppose there wasn't a point in unsheathing it after all, he thought), and rushed towards one of the hills in the arena. Admittedly, it was not large, nor was he expecting it to actually cover him. He took a glance at the boy... and then went into a diving roll, dropping his Wind Sword all the while. The rock had narrowly missed him, but he knew there were three more coming. If one of them hit... Well, it wouldn't be fun, to say the least. He used his roll forwards to continue his momentum forwards, and kept running. The next rock was flying towards him, but he had made it to the hill and was now behind it. The rock hit the hill hard, but aside from piles of flying dirt causing some bruises, Krieg was largely uninjured. He watched for the next boulder, and when it started flying towards him, he positioned himself so that the second boulder was in the way of the third. As it flew too close to change directions, he started towards his Wind Sword again. As he approached it, however, he glanced over to the boy, and realized too late the fourth was already in mid-flight towards him. Krieg did his best to jump out of the way... With no such luck. He ended up pinned onto the ground, both his legs underneath the boulder. A brief scream was heard, as Krieg started reaching for his Wind Sword, slowly and shakily, with his arm. |

Borook, Post 7. Borook collapsed to the ground, barely able to use his hands to catch himself in time, his tomes now lying on the ground. He lifted his head slightly to look at his opponent, just barely crushed under a boulder. He smiled, but he was still trying to fight. Borook panted heavily, trying to catch his breath as he felt the blood on his face from his nosebleed. He growled slightly as he grabbed his ElEarth tome, invoking its power to finish the fight. He willed the rocks beneath the man to rise up, intent on skewering the man through the head. It was over, Borook just needed to have the balls to end it himself. He hated killing men... but... if he was fighting for his life.... and he knew he needed to become badass.... this was sure to cause that. Whoever said bookworms were weak, had obviously never meet Borook. |

Krieg Stagem, Post 7 About the same time the kid grabbed his tome, Krieg managed to grip his sword's handle. Which tome was it? Krieg had no idea. He just knew he was in danger now. With his Wind Sword, he tried rushing a burst of of wind towards the boy, picking up dirt as it did. All the while, he was picking himself up as best he could with one arm, the other obviously holding the Wind Sword. If he was lucky, then the burst of wind would knock out the boy and stop the magic. If not, then maybe it would blow away the tome and probably stop whatever he was doing, but that was a risk. After all, he didn't know if magic worked that way. If his wind did nothing, he hoped that the attack would, at the very least, miss Krieg, with him holding himself up. |

Borook, Post 8. Borook's eyes widened as the man managed to get his sword. The burst of wind was unexpected. The book got blasted from his hands, thrown to the far reaches of the arena, and the magic ceased, only causing the dirt below the man's face to raise slightly. Borook growled as he tried to move his arms so he could get his other tome. But with that sword.... the man could survive anything Borook did. "...You win." He said, as he slowly began to stand up, barely able to keep his balance. He groaned, his whole body aching, his power drained. "I can't beat you.... I'm out of power. My wind won't harm you as long as you have that sword, and you won't let me get my ElEarth tome...." He said, despairing. "So....what now?" He wondered. |

Krieg Stagem, Rocked out! Post 8 The Myrcenary simply stared at the mound that appeared in front of his face. He blinked, then set himself back down. It felt comfortable enough to be a pillow. He waited for the arena monkeys to get the damned boulder off of him. After that, he'd hit that Peirenian restaurant and see if there was actually anything good there... Probably not. |
