Rapture Review By: Hatori An appearance vivid for everyone's eyes, not too bright and not too dark. The skin's colors are well matched for the board's genre from what I can see of it. The general discussion genre usually represents a laid-back, tight-nit community wherein everyone may just feel relaxed and well aware that the forum is basically for chatting. With this said, Rapture's skin pulled off the genre quite perfectly with the relaxing bright & dark greens plus, the dark background which helps in making the forum quite compact and a probability to be diverse. I would probably suggest the skinner to probably consider changing some parts of the css that may be a bother for other people. Instead of maybe using a gradient as your background in the table fill or if you are more familiar, it is classified in the Zetaboards CSS as the category tables to change it to tablefill { background: #hex; border: none; border-top: 1px #lighter.hex.from.the.background solid; } and it might probably help the tables look more compact, clean and clearer for the eyes(when it comes to reading the forum descriptions). The maintitle's design also needs a bit of fixing, changing the 3px bright green stroke on the bottom to a closer bright green from the other graphics on your skin. The quote and code css may also be improved by adding a lighter gray background to the header of the quote/code and adding a 1px border inside the code/quote box that's lighter than it's background. That's probably all that you may consider to change, but it's still going to be the skinner's decision if he/she would change it or not. Activity is never scarce in this forum, only until summer was about to come. In this stage of a forum's life, usual forum admins close down their forum because of their lack of dedication. Rapture manage to attain a constant but ever changing activity that's quite shocking for a general discussion forum. I would probably advice a little bit more spice within your forum. The mascot thing brought it's identity and maybe adding a bit more "boom boom bop" in your system wouldn't hurt, would it? Competitions is a must in most activity bringing strategies and adding a bit more competition in a certain area would guarantee added activity, if ever executed well. Don't go for those referral and posting contests as you don't really need to remind your loyal members that. Trying to get them in the mood to creatively share their talents to the forum (graphics, skinning, literature, more!) would do best in a forum like yours. My suggestions would be, a small "capture your talent video contest" wherein your members can capture or submit an old video of them, showing their grandest talent. Anything is possible and I'm pretty sure some creative minds within your community would help you execute and think of good activity raisers. Like I always say in most forums. Advertise, advertise, advertise & fly away! You can never have enough advertising and I'm thinking that your advertising methods are not enough. If ever you are free to spend or in a current state wherein you can spend cash on your forum, you could probably try out paid advertising in worth-it sites. Try gathering members from other communities who you think, would add some activity within your forum. Members are always tantalized by an eye candy and wearing your signature in much more complex-numbered communities would gather you a lot more members than you could think off. Since your forum is a general discussion one, you could even expand to advertise on forums that has nothing to do with your genre, an example would be business marketing forums that holds various members from around the world that's willing to spend their time on a forum or an eye-candy filled forum, find more and you'll surely gather more and more. That's probably all I can say for your forum and a lot of congratulations for making it this far! Gather more people and expand. It's never bad to do that. Good luck with Rapture and hopefully you would improve a lot more after this review and hopefully I would be of big help for your forum! That's all and thanks for requesting a review from ZBAscendency! Much love, Hatori. |

If BZ want to change the coding he can go ahead, so anyone that is willing to can send him code snippets. Don't touch the maintitle though

I don't see a review template posted for the members to see so if there was one then it's in staff room so not sure if there is one or not. |

Ah makes sense. oh I remember the days when people would have a review template that all needed to use then someone would rage at how they hated that template and wanted to use their own. Esaul was good at doing that. XD It was a decent review and well written imo. |

look if you wanna have a review fight on who makes the best reviews. Then make a review each and post it. Call it the review-showdown. No need to get any hissy fits. |

It seemed way to technically, statistically based in areas of your reviews, some of them seemed a tad confusing. |
